i know that according to current constitution they both cannot become PM third time but PPP are saying that particular section will be removed from constitution and it is a part of deal.

Angry Re: vote for the next Prime Minister

as an outsider... i hava a question for my pakistani friends

isn't it unnerving that in the last 8-years of so called stability, virtually no new democratic leader has emerged from within pakistan???

does it mean that there is no space for aspiring fresh new political forces ???

Shaukat Aziz? lol perhaps the Chief Justice? Aamir Liaqat? Imran Khan too has fully emerged during these last 8 years?

PML-Q itself was a remarkable achievement of bringing out several moderate forces together.

Shahbaz sharif is very famous particularly in Punjab. people like him more than his elder brother.in future if PML (N) got majority the chances are very high that he will be the Prime Minister.

We need Shakut Aziz bcoz of his Economical mind, the best policies made were in his era, Musharaf is not a economist so he dont know abut the economy much, the reason bcoz he brought Shakut Aziz was due to his economic experties.

Hey i have more rep so i should be the next president with WILCO as my PM.

Imran Khan has my vote.

I think there's still a lot of honesty left in him. I believe Musharraf did well in these 8 years, but a web political games have now been carried out. Continuing on would be disasterous and he would be forced to align himself with BB.

A much healthier alternative would be to take up Imran. Unfortunately he neither has the support amongst the masses and has been in a tussle with Musharraf. He's not good with politics and I fear he would be cooked alive in the arena despite his honesty.

Somehow a truce between him and Musharraf would give way to a very good combination. Just putting forth an idea which should be taken up.

In fact in all indications during Musharraf's initial coup it was said that Musharraf would choose Imran as the next PM. But as the saying goes, loose lips sink ships. Imran who kept on praising Musharraf and his policies, grew impatient and right around 9/11 called Musharraf a dictator out to sell Pakistan to the highest bidder. Imran was of the opinion that the elections are never going to be held.

Imran would've been what Shaukat Aziz is today. Which shows Imran despite his honesty is not a good politician. However that does not mean that if by some miracle he wins, he won't be a good leader. Which is what it's all about.
