US aid for Pakistan to continue: official

FAISALABAD: Brian D Hunt, principal officer of the US
Consulate, here on Wednesday said the US would continue to extend aid and technical support to Pakistan for its speedy progress and prosperity.
He was addressing the concluding session of 18th All Pakistan Food Science Conference and International Symposium on emerging trends in food science and technology in the new senate hall of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
He said Pakistan and the US were close partners and had been enjoying cordial relations for the last many decades.
He said the US was extending full cooperation in education and research sectors and during the recent years, a series of MoUs had been inked between various Pakistani and US universities and research organisations.
About the food processing sector, Hunt said both countries had huge potential for cooperation in this sector.
