Well Sir he had been a staunch ally of Musharraf and supporter.

He had been targeted in the past too.
This time his house was attacked.

His brother Ex-MPA had also been injured in the blast.

Besides due to Amir Muqam most of the people in Malakand are backing the Federal Government

There really doesn't seem to be much of an option other than to go at these people hammer and tongs.

Development and negotiations are fine, but as this incident and other incidents indicate, even where the majority supports the GoP and some development has taken place, terrorists are able to bomb and threaten, and then retreat. This military aspect of this dual approach really needs to be stepped up IMO - we are going to be targeted either way.

    Shoot the animals simple

BTW Amir Muqam was also engaged in Negotiations between the local trouble makers in Swat and the Government to ease the tension and end clashes.

Now it seems that some foreign militants do not want an end to this tension in Swat and the modus operendi of this attack which is suicide points to the involvment of these Foreign Terrorists who's favourit way is using suicide bombers.
