Well actually i dont have a problem with Russia nor Russians neither, beside this i respect what they achieved technologically, i just have been to an ex-satellite of USSR, Belarus, for 3 months, and i found the chance to know their culture closer, after all Belarussians have no difference than Russians. They are smart and drunk fellows and really nice ladies they have. Personally i am trying to improve my Russian, this geography saw many things such as hatred, wars etc but I foresee Russian&Turkish ties will be much more better in the near future, indispensibly.

your argument is silly " you lost almost all wars with Russian Empire who was the lone party" therefore one example is enough to ruin your imaginary world!

1736-1739 Ottoman (as usual we were the lone party) VS Austria and Russia ! we won! Treaty of Belgrade 1739

anyway you are a wast of time! but thanks for entertaning us! s-19 please come back when you are around lets say s-30

Russia attacked the Khazan Khanate and the Serbian Khanate and were threatening the Crimean Khanate so the Ottomans had to get involved

The Russo Ottoman wars were a stalemate until the late 18th century when the exhausted Ottomans were unaware of the new navy of the Russians ... The Ottomans won the war of 1676–1681, 1710–1711, and 1735–1739 against both Austria and Russia ...

They might have won them if they weren't at war with every one else in the world at the same time ... IIRC it was Taimur Khan (Tamerlane) who pretty much set the Russians free from Mongol rule by nearly destroying the Golden Horde

In reality the Ottomans not only fought the entire continent of europe at once and conquered half of it, but they were also involved with Russia and the Iranians ... even the Mamluks ... if the Persian Ottoman wars never happened Sulayman Qanooni would've conquered even more euro land

Russian Empire and Ottoman Empire fought 12 wars in total, from 16th to 20th century. The wars in which Ottomans won were: 1) Pruth River campaign (won alone) 2) Crimean war (won after alliance with British Empire, French and Italian empire)

In the Austro Russian Turkish war, Austrians faced defeat. However, the result at Russian front was a Stalemate.

Otherwise, the rest of the nine wars were clear-cut victory of Russian Empire. If Ottoman Empire formed a peace treaty with Russian Empire, both could have defeated European invaders together (Russian Empire was hostile to Europe at first). Hostile attitude of Ottomans for Russians led to Russia being allied with the European powers later.

Anyway, what is over is over. Lets look forward to good relationship of the successor of both Empires in the future.

Nope, Rum was the sworn enemy of all previous Islamic empires. Early Islamic empires fought and conquered territories from Rum and Sassanid empires.

Yes, it does say that "Rum will overcome" in that Sura. Rum being defeated may refer to the conquest of Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1453 of the capital of Rum (constantinople). "Overcoming" may refer to the rise of the Russian empire and present day Russia, which is a superpower.

His lecture only discusses the part "alliance of rum", not the full hadiths. If you read the full hadiths you will know that the alliance between Rum and muslims would be short lived and eventually, Russia would expand to include constantinople, Caucasus and whole Anatolia. There will be no turkey at that time and God knows best.

No the verse was about the final roman persian wars. it was a prophcy that came true when Mohammed was alive. after the Persians defeted the romans then the verse said romans will win the next battle. as for a hadith about Turkey wont exist, could you post? i never seen it.
