Henderson on Saudi-China-Pakistan Missile Ties
April 23, 2006 :: Analysis Simon Henderson, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, recently commented on missile ties between Saudi Arabia, China, and Pakistan. The Saudis currently possess an arsenal of aging Chinese-designed CSS-2 missiles, purchased from China in the 1980s. Riyadh hopes to upgrade this arsenal with modern Chinese-designed missiles and perhaps nuclear warheads to create a deterrent against Iran. Henderson speculates that the Saudis will attempt to acquire from Pakistan both Chinese-designed missiles and dual-key Pakistani nuclear warheads. Under such a system, Saudi Arabia would have the key that controls the missiles, while Pakistan would have the key that controls the warheads. The result would technically not breach the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and perhaps evade Chinese international obligations against the transfer of ballistic missiles. However, a nuclear-armed Saudi Arabia would severely undermine U.S. diplomatic efforts to block Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and dramatically alter the regional balance of power. Henderson notes that Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah visited Pakistan in February 2006, on his way back from China. In addition, Crown Prince Sultan, the Saudi defense minister, was in Pakistan in April. On Sultan’s previous trip to Pakistan in 1999, he toured Pakistan’s Kahuta uranium enrichment and missile production center, where he was escorted by the then director, the nuclear proliferator A.Q. Khan. (Article, Link) |

Another effort to prepare filing fact against Pakistan Nuclear Program. Well Done!
Am glad they have started reallizing this fact. But perhaps they are not aware that Pakistan has pledged Saudis to Protect the holy land if God forbid in case of any nuclear misadventure by any country. Putting up Iran against Saudi Arabia is just another move to create unbalance with in the region and take off eyes from Israel. First Iraq, Iran-Iraq war, Gulf war, Sanctions, Again Operation Enduring Freedom, Now Iran-Saudi. All these proxy wars to save Banni Ezrael. ![]() Are Americans so jacked up or there balls have been locked in airtight vacuum jar by Banni Ezrael? Can any one answer me....

I once read the same kind of news on the hindu, i couldnt find the link again that ghauri silos are being constructed in SA, the israeli agency reported. Cant back the claim made but if saudi does indeed want pakistan to provide them with such technology, we pretty much dont have any choice then to provide them with one, not to forget that they were the ones whos backed pakistan's nuclear programe with money. But pakistan has firm commitment that if god for bid and if BB is not the PM of pakistan then, perhaps we will defend saudi arabia under all threats.

Makes no difference if they are aimed at Israel (which I personally have no problems with, since they have to be put back in their place some time), but eh, what ever the world brings we have to swallow it. Or as I say, "Going along with the joy ride".

Hi,
There is no reason that any offensive weapons in saudi arabia would be pointed at israel at all. Niether is saudi arabia willing to and nor is pakistan thinking about it. It won't happen. There will be nothing pointed towards israel. Both these countries know that israel is for real, so talking about this threat is somebody's bogus agenda. |

This report is whats its also known as divide and rule.
1)report suggest Pakistan isn't capable of making any missiles on her own unless china builds it for us. 2)Muslims should fight each other. 3)Pakistan is selling missiles to the world.also know as weapons of mass destruction being given to any body by Pakistan. |

Saudia Arabia working on secret nuclear program with Pakistan help - report
BERLIN (AFX) - Saudi Arabia is working secretly on a nuclear program, with help from Pakistani experts, the German magazine Cicero reported in its latest edition, citing Western security sources. It says that during the Haj pilgrimages to Mecca in 2003 through 2005, Pakistani scientists posed as pilgrims to come to Saudi Arabia. Between October 2004 and January 2005, some of them slipped off from pilgrimages, sometimes for up to three weeks, the report quoted German security expert Udo Ulfkotte as saying. According to Western security services, the magazine added, Saudi scientists have been working since the mid-1990s in Pakistan, a nuclear power since 1998. Cicero, which will appear on newstands tomorrow, also quoted a US military analyst, John Pike, as saying that Saudi bar codes can be found on half of Pakistan's nuclear weapons 'because it is Saudi Arabia which ultimately co-financed the Pakistani atomic nuclear program.' The magazine also said satellite images indicate that Saudi Arabia has set up a program in Al-Sulaiyil, south of Riyadh, a secret underground city and dozens of underground silos for missiles. According to some Western security services, long-range Ghauri-type missiles of Pakistani-origin are housed inside the silos.
