I have to remind every one here, that despite the fact that there are lots of religious differences in west, they never start calling names like us. Every one knows the kind of hate that exist between Jews and Christians. And even among Christians there are dozens of branches which have differences in fundamentals of religion. Like Holy ghost and three gods and stuff like that. The difference between Shias and Sunnis are large but they are not fundamental. The difference is over succession. It is very strange to see, that those who have differences in basic fundamentals of the faith are not fighting with each other but here people are fighting despite having the same fundamentals and only succession differences. Unite is the word here, or you will be eaten up by outside forces.

The king is not afraid of Shias. Saudi Arabia has its own Shia population and I do not see them being afraid of Shia. The Shia card is just being played to cover for their pro-Americanism. Without this card, every one is going to question Saudi's stance with regard to its foreign policy. Without this card, US will have to leave all the military bases it has in Arab lands. It is just an excuse to suck the oil out and pump up western economies by keeping the price of oil down and fool Arabs. The price of a barrel of oil which is so vital as source of energy and polymers is just 100 dollars. A barrel of Coca Cola will cost you 500 dollars and it is just 99% water. Do you get it now? They are robbing you. And they need a strong excuse.

Sharif Hussein was promised the entire sham by the British along with the hijaz. His government is now Jordan not Saudi Arabia. King Abdulaziz came much later and retook the hijaz from this traitor. Our relations with the west only came during world war 2 or a little time before that.

Saudi Arabia has absolutely nothing to do with the fall of the ottoman empire.
