Yes we have this one as our newest frigate ship, and we are so proud of that.
Thanks you guys for the information about our Philippines Navy.![]()
Looks more like a frigate. Nothing special there.
You got you nose blooding so bad don't you remember? Ask Vietnamese for more information.
The lesson is, if you cannot touch the Vietnamese, please forget the wet dream of challenging the Philippines- USA allies.
We do have an acceptable air forces wings now, it's not the most powerful the region but it can strike very well, and more than that we do have plenty of morale to fight, which communist Vietnam and China lack.
We will buy more used fighters and submarines in the future like F-13 etc .... We are lacking money but not intelligence, only dumb people will waste too much money for R&D or Massive Importing Weapons like China and Vietnam. We buy used weapons and learn hard how to use it effectively.
The last time our F-5A and AC-13 chasing the Vietnamese and Chinese pirate boats ran their tail off, and their medias have reported none in return, which force us to think they are very terrified by us.
I will submit more sources about the new weapons our arm forces going to get, now I have little time.
The Gallatin class though dating back to the 1970s was an excellent hull form for N.Atlantic ops. Elements of that design were incorporated into the OHP frigates.
About the waking up bit, it may not be too far off. While the US umbrella will always remain unfurled over the Phillipines, notwithstandind their withdrawal from Subic Bay and Clark AFB. We're also likely to see increasing transfers of sulplus hardware from the US to the Phillipines. Mostly ships, but aircraft too, I'd put my bets on F-16s and MPAs.
Don't forget to factor in the RAN and RAAF into the equation. They will have a substantial role in the region.
That's right!
First of all, congratulations Philippines.
Next, I surprised that you were hostile Vietnam.
Although Vietnam and Philippines disputed Spratly Islands, we don't infringe Philippines's interests in your exclusive economic zone
Both along respect UNCLOS 1982.
I believe strongly that disputes between Vietnam and Philippines can solve by peaceful negotiations.![]()

I surprised that you know about Vietnam's newspapers so much.
Problem 122 Vietnamese fishermen were arrested by Philippines was only a misunderstanding. The fishermen went to the Philippines to fish under an economic contract between the Long Hai Long Company of Viet Nam and the Philippines ’ Premiere International Interfishing Company.
Vietnam Embassy in Norway - Other NewsOn May 30, 2011, seven fishing vessels from Binh Thuan province with 122 fishermen on board were seized by the Philippine Navy about 2 nautical miles (3.6km) off Tamburok coast of Balabac, in Palawan province.
The fishermen had planned to go to the Philippines to fish under an economic contract between the Long Hai Long Company of Viet Nam and the Philippines ’ Premiere International Interfishing Company. The fishing vessels and crews were arrested in the Philippines ’ territorial waters, when they had yet to complete necessary legal procedures.
The court of Palawan province decided to free the 122 Vietnamese fishermen on August 26 and September 1.
Every year, many fishermen from neighboring countries fishing illegally very close coast of Vietnam, but our sea police just chase them away without arrests.![]()

Not only was Northern Vietnam (Hanoi) once part of Chinese territory, so was the northern part of Luzon Island.
