Iran plans to open five new embassies in Africa, Asia
TEHRAN, Jan. 25 (MNA) – Following a proposal offered by the Foreign Ministry, Iran plans to open embassies in the four African countries of Somalia, Cameroon, South Sudan, and Djibouti.
Iran also plans to open an embassy in Myanmar, a Southeast Asian country which has started doing reforms since the military handed over the power to a civilian government.
The effort by the Foreign Ministry to open new embassies in Africa follows a policy by Tehran to expand relations with Africa.
