Current world geopolitical situation is vastly different from the age of Empires in past.

US defence industry is an enormous money making machine. Wars are needed to support it. Do not confuse US with USSR. The latter (Empire) broke because of revolutionary ideas and failed economic plans from within.

You guys think that WOT is messy? Check Vietnam then. 58000 US soldiers dead and over 100,000 missing. And I am not even talking about equipment based losses.

China is America's largest external source of debt. Much of America's debts are internal. And they do make a lot of high-tech stuff. Not just military stuff.

3 Trillion Dollar debt is minimal; what you fail to internalize, my friend, is that China and US economies are intertwined. The largest trading partner of China is the United States. Tho we can survive without China, China cannot survive without American trade. All the major investors in China are from the United States.

The fallacy in your argument rests in the fact that:

1. If China were to revoke anything, it would hurt the US economy as well as the world's but it would also DESTROY the Chinese economy

2. 15 Trillion Dollar Economy. This is replenished annually. Can you even comprehend the magnitude of that number?

I'll give you a comparative: Pakistan's GDP is 480 Billion; US GDP is 31X the size of Pakistan's GDP.
