Guys one things is for sure, as time goes by 2020,india's military capability will grow,,Our science and technology will improve ,economy will grow,poverty will be decreased,will have lot of influence in Asia..

No one can stop us from growing....If the UNSC doesnt accept India as a member then its use less,we represent 25% of world population by 2020... By then Without India in UNSC,UN is a F**K hole

But one thing is sure,NO ONE can stop us India from growing in every field...let alone these PDF warriors

I do not think the so-called backwardness has anything to do with India's bid into UNSC.

It is all geo-political issue others consider.

Personally, with India occupying China's territory, I do not think China is willing to support India's bid. The Chinese people will curse the government to hell if China supports India's bid.

It's amusing to see the Chinese members talk about India's so called "backwardness" as the reason it should not join the UNSC as a permanent member given the fact that when China was made a permanent member it was actually worse off than India is right now. Infact the way things have gone down off late, China would benefit having India on the panel. China, Russia and India have been on the same page when it comes to international issues for the past few years.

While I don't foresee India to get a permanent seat in the near future with China being wary and with the recent Indian stand against NATO sanctions in Syria, I am sure there will be a sustained diplomatic effort to get a seat in the future.

With India's current land, supporting 25% of the world pop??? WOW!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!

Let's say by 2020, the world pop is at most 8 billion ( I suppose it should be more), 2 billion people in India??? Are you really proud of that figure???
