They are some primitive and barbaric mobs who have no idea about democracy after thousands of years of slavery and dictatorship. "Democracy" means for them is to insult and humiliate others, break and burn things, kill and injure others, rob and rape them. It's their version of democracy, no wonder...

Eight Egyptian workers arrested as protest turns violent
    by JT | Apr 09,2012 | 23:51
AMMAN — Police on Monday arrested eight Egyptian labourers after a protest in front of their country’s embassy in Amman turned violent, according to the Public Security Department (PSD).

PSD Spokesperson Lt. Col. Mohammad Khatib said dozens of Egyptian guest workers who were protesting against the Labour Law clashed with the security forces, adding that the labourers did not inform the PSD of their intention to stage a sit-in.

The protesters started throwing stones at their embassy, so Gendarmerie forces rushed to the scene, Khatib told The Jordan Times over the phone.

The PSD spokesperson also said that the Egyptians then started throwing stones at police vehicles and Gendarmerie personnel, causing “slight injuries to some of them”.

Didn't KSA and Egypt had some problem several years ago over an Egyptian doctor who was sentenced in Saudi Arabia because he repeated a prescription for a Saudi princess that she had from USA and as a result she become addict to the pain killer that was among the drug.
(by the way if I recall correctly the painkiller was tramadol)
    Secur thanked this.

At times they could be deported too and blacklisted for further entry in the country. However media evidence of drugs should be brought forward..The Saudis reserve the right to lash out a punishment if proven guilty.
sometimes rules about drugs in countries south of Persian gulf become to much strict , at the time of Haj we will send a hospital with Iranian pilgrims to Mecca and believe me we have problem sending the necessary drugs for the hospital. I support being vigilant about illegal drugs but sometimes the regulation is way too much strict and cumbersome even by Iran standard and we have one of the harshest laws about illegal drugs and smuggling them .

This was a knee-jerk reaction from Saudi Arabia. Hidden reason may be the growing Egypt-Iran relations.

This is actually a good thing now and the saudis getting on the bad side of egypt will have iran to the east and egypt to the west.

there were plenty of protest in egypt against our government, and no said any thing
but if it reached to this savage level of throwing rocks and setting fire on the building

what was really upsetting is that what is to be called Egyptian "government" did not do any thing to protect the diplomats from these savages

Freedom of speech is great! But the embassies cannot be attacked. This is against the Vieena Convention.

If saudi arabia gets mad,and decide not to invest in egypt, because of this hostyle egyptian action against saudi...then the arabs will say."look the saudis are bad, they dont care about arabs"....SAUDI ARABIA THE BEST...i am not saudi, but i love saudi arabia MUCH MUCH MORE then my country,AL MAMLAKAT AL ARABEYA ASSAUDEYAAA FOR EVER..

My friend , the word " freedom of speech " is alien to the Monarchy run Arab countries ... How do you expect them to understand the very word even let alone the concept ?

The infinite prince and princess of the Monarchy are free to indulge in everything from drugs to fornication - with or without the supervision of the religious police ...

I am not surprised to hear this ...

P.S Tramadol isn't that addicting ... I am sure the Saudis made it a big issue just to score some brownie points ...
