a soldier is right as long as he/she follows command.
Al-qaeda or taliban can't be compared to an outfit as professional as the US army..for the former lacks the will to stand and fight...and would choose an unarmed civilian target over the US military any day...
they don't even qualify to be spoken of in the same breath as any country's army.
There was a reason for the rullings of the Geneva convention to be followed universally.

Well on the contratry knowing many American people , they genuinely are kind hearted people and they also give donations and help out other nations.

FACT : Americans are always there when natural desasters strike even in our own
earth quake efforts americans are the first who run to us with aid

Average American who joins the Amry joins with understanding they are helping protect their country , but the ones responsible for these illegal wars have now , put risk the soliders of US army

Because what happens when these soldiers go to real world they realize

a) Wait a second, this is not what - we were debriefed about ...
b) The world is not like it was presented to us on news and other
controlled outlets
c) They see the world its pain, and suffering and they realize that
this is not what they signed up for

This is why they have stress realted illnesses since most of them genuinely feel that they were going to help build nation and capture taliban, but instead they ended up doing dirty work for corporations

Their miserey continues when they come back , as if they have critical injuries there have no health insurance the same country they swore to protect the insurance companies do not support them.

Sometimes even good people find themselves in middle of war they can't control out of fear of court marshal or dishonorable discharge...

I feel the solider's pain , I believe good people exist in all areas , I for once know many Americans who do give to poor etc and do good charitable work ... so ....

Its sad situation , mean while the people who put the soliders in that spot ppl like rumsfield, or the colen what ever , or the black witch ...

Hope they get to feel the pain , but the soliders they are just ppl trying to earn a livining alot of them join the army as they find meaing to life in order of army and honor, but when you see some things being done on battle feild .....

Which they can't control of course...its painful ...

Sometimes I wonder why is there such a divide between the poeple and the establishment (Petagon Generals)

The most painful - end is when they come home and no one recieves them - with time they become outcasts of society , which is a growing problem as the people cann't run away from the shadows that chase them. Crys , the fear of battle in night , and sudden rush of blood ...........the lies ..and deceptions ...

They come back tired ... and just happy to see their families back sometimes ppl don't even have families remaining cuz 3-4 years of seperatios drifts families apart etc....

Its tough....

Media in West only shows the happy faces of war, it never covers any negative tales and realities ... every holiday , they show ... what is needed to be shown so ppl would go and sign up on the dotted line....after which your life belongs to Army for 10 years

There is heavy CENSORING of videos and images in US army , after Abu Ghuraib they have new restrictions in place to prevent leak of videos and images, and every solider's belongings and images/vides are checked , before its allowed to leave.....

Infact I even know, that in some cases, soliders private videos were also being secretly checked - and companies were given contracts to make sure the videos were secretly scanned and analysed .. before these were leaked to public ....

In some cases, youtube ... video uploads were secretly ....blocked to save things on local machines ... and then after breif delay were posted online... the user would not even know untill they get court marshalled ...

What bothers most soliders is the shoot first, and hide under the carpet mentality of generals in higher position ... when they try to use their values and good judgement they get court marshalled or kicked out of army as Un Patriotic ... so there is no room for prople who critically think what they are doing -

Lol, Taliban are cowards? well then tell the American to get out of their tanks, f-16's, Striker's, Bradly's, and we'll see who'll win!

And lets not forget that No Tomahawk cruise missiles allowed, only m-16's, machine guns, and shoulder fired rockets then we'll see how long American army lasts in Afghanistan!

Not saying that soldiers committed sins, but if someone hired a hitman to to his/her dirty work, the hitman is still the one committing the homicide and thus, still commits a sin.
