US soldier captured by Taliban pleads for freedom
Washington, Apr 8: A heartwrenching video showing an American soldier captured by the Taliban pleading for his freedom and a chance to get back home to Idaho has been released by the terrorist outfit.
The Taliban, which captured the soldier in Jun 2009, had earlier released a video of the soldier identified as Bowe Bergdahl during Christmas.
The seven minute-long footage shows Bergdahl clasping his hands and pleading for freedom saying that the war in Afghanistan was not worth the loss of lives or the number of people held captive.

"This war isn't worth the waste of human life that has cost both Afghanistan and the U.S. It's not worth the amount of lives that have been wasted in prisons, Guantanamo Bay, Bagram, all those places where we are keeping prisoners," Bergdahl is heard saying.
At the end of Bergdahl's speech, a voice, reportedly that of Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, is heard demanding the release of a 'limited number of prisoners' in exchange for the American.
However, the US army authorities are yet to confirm the authenticity of the video released on Wednesday, Apr 8.
