these are specialized fighter which are not really a need for small airforce. for the amount of upgrade and warthog paksitan can buy possible a chinese multi role .

and f-16 and old f-15 will stand not much chance because if the number will be small: maintaining upgrading and refurbishing will be too expensive.

american rather use them for drone targets.
IIRC, Pakistan was initially offered the A-10s and instead, they decided to go for the F-16s. A big blunder I say, considering their present need for cheap & effective strikes against the taliban. A-10s are awesome for CAS, not a dog fighter though. You will be surprised at the maneuverability of these flying guns!
Those older gen F-16s and F-15s wont stand a fair chance against many of the newer aircraft in the subcontinent.

If this guy wanted to, he could easily retire the whole American army, navy and air force in one day.

Hill and Nellis AFBs are within my roaming area. Hill AFB is a depot level maintenance facility for the F-16 and several other platforms, but the F-16 is the most visible 'client', if you will. That mean as a depot maintenance facility, Hill would have the most detailed record at the structural level of each F-16 in inventory, possibly even foreign ones if they did sent their F-16s to US for that reason. Depot maintenance is when the aircraft is quite literally stripped down to the paint and everything is inspected and R&R if necessary. Non-destructive inspections (NDI) techniques such as X-ray of items like hydraulic actuators are routine, whereas at the squadron level, they are exceptional. These aircrafts are retired for more than just budgetary reasons.

    yeh agreed there a-10,

but gubbi thats what i was sayign mate.

warthog is specialist fighter specifically designed for close ground support.

as for f-16 they are superb fighters but - not anymore they are too old. f-16 block-60 are well packed fighter with new age avionics but its still that old tag.

f-15 is a superbaby, i flew f-15 about an year ago and i can tell you its the most amazing jet to fly. there is so much to this fighter than f-16. its like a rubix cube.
