Ok Honestly some of the toilet "experts" help me understand this to me...
A typical house hold in India would be 4 members with at an average 3 rooms and 1 bath room.
and by going with the current trend of cell phones in India .. it can be safely assumed that this household has atleast 2 cell phones.

Now if we do a simple math ..it would obviously come up with more number of cell phones than the toilets. makes sense?

because clean environment is what villages lack in India. Proper sanitation is one of the most basic service that's a challenge to the government which is trying to face it.

and at the report. things are not THAT worse. ofcourse someone can post some pics of somewhere remote place stating it's really a worse case. But, Government schemes of Awards for best villagers and other services have really improved villages and their situations.

Thats the first thing I thought too.

A family of 4 may have 4 mobile phones and 1 toilet. These stats should be done in this way, like ratio of toilets per thousand people. Also India should replace those Slumdog-Millionaire-road-side-with-massive-amounts-of-poop-underneath toilets with actual drainage and running water based toilets.
