Engine industry is the one Turkish defence industry has problems but Thanks Allah that We have multiple engine programs for near future...

1500 hp engine program for Altay MBT
Naval engine families (YTKB, Milgem)
Land vehicle engines
Aircraft turbo-jet engine (until 2015) (Jet trainer program)
Missile Turbo-jet engines engines (Atmaca SSM )
ANKA Male UAV engine

THE COMPARISON OF ANKA (TURKEY) AND HERON (ISRAEL)
Wingspan: Anka: 17 meters [Heron: 16.60 meters]
Take-off weight: Anka: 1600 kgs [Heron: 1150 kgs]
Radar visibility: Anka: The body and wings are formed by nearly 7 000 parts. Made almost from carbon composite material; hence radar visibility is very low.
Engine: Anka: 155 HP diesel fuel motor (German Thielert Centurion Engine) Anka’s Engine can also combast normal Jet Fuel, which works more effective than high Octane Fuel in High Altitudes. Domestic engine for Anka will be produced in 2011. Engine is the only foreign-part in Anka. [Heron: 115 HP High Octane Fuel (Rotax 914 engine, 86 kW)]
Endurance: Anka: 24 hours [Heron: 40 hours; endurance gets lower than 40 hours when qualified cameras and systems are mounted .]
Cruising speed: Anka can take 200 kms in 1 hour.
Usefull cargo capacity: Anka: 200 kgs [Heron:185 kgs]
Transportability: Anka: Easy; C-130 transportation planes can take Anka wherever wished.
Project Stages: Anka: 1st: Anka 23 000 feet~18 hours 2nd: 30 000 feet~24 hours
Length: Anka: 9 meters [Heron: 8.5 meters]
Height: Anka: 1.70 meters
Intelligence: Anka: Night-vision camera: Night operations. Radar system for operations even over clouds (behind clouds, can view ground targets as well)+ : Hence, day-and-night discovery, monitoring and target detection
Take-off and landing: Anka: Full automatic Heron: Autonomous
Electronic Warfare: Anka: 200 kms protection range from all electronic warfare via 200-kms range data link. [Heron: 350 kms. Heron is unprotected against electronic warfare].
Class: Anka: Operative UCAV. Anka has the ability to weapon loading. Anka-B has Cirit missiles (already proven to be superior to US’s Hellfire and Israel’s Spike). [Heron: No weapons. Hence, one must send F-16s as a friend to Heron]
Mission computer: Anka: Aselsan (Turkey)

Operators: Anka: Turkish Armed Forces ordered 10 Ankas (will be delivered in the end of 2012). Besides Turkey, 5 countries ordered as well. [Heron: Israel, Turkey, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Equador, France, Germany, India, USA]
Fuel: Anka uses jet fuel that is in a different style from Heron.
Anti-icing: The anti-icing system of Anka is working throughout its 24-hour flight. [Heron: The anti-icing system is limited to 3 hours.]
Unit Cost: Anka’s unit cost is cheaper than Heron. The average cost of a system of 4-plain and 2-station for The UAVs with the same class as Anka is $50-60 Millions.
The Budget spent for Design and R-D: Anka: $107 Millions [Heron: $?]
Maiden Flight: Anka: Several test flights were done. The maiden flight is on September 2010 [Heron: September 2005].
First production process: Anka: 1 system and 3 planes will be completed.
Serial Production Process: 2012 (Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has already ordered 10 systems. TSK may order more. 30 planes will be produced in total in serial production process. The number may increase in correspondence to foreign demand).
UAV-producing countries: 43 countries.
Operative HALE-UAV producing countries: USA (2001), Israel (2005), Turkey (2010).

Maybe in the far future. This currently if armed would beat out the Heron and MQ-1A Predator.

Something like the MQ-9 Reaper would still take some time though

So this makes us the one of the three countries (USA, Israel and Turkey) in the world that manufacture their own UAVs?

No many countries can manufacture UAVs. Currently though very few have made MALE(Medium Altitude Long Endurance) UAVs Israel and the U.S being the main ones and now Turkey. South Africa/Brazil also have one called the Bateleur but there isn't many that have made them.

At first times, Officials had seperated Tiha program like Tiha-A and Tiha-B. Tiha A is the one introduced in this thread but Tiha-B would be the one which has a 24m wing span(17.4m Anka A), 9-10m fuselage (7m Anka A). I do not know current statues of B program because Officials are fully concantrated on Armed version of Anka and talking about a big UAV using turbo-jet engine to navigate oceangoing routes without any assistance...

Cabatli brother any rough idea how many Anka'z TAI can produce in one month ?:D

:D

Bro, It is almost impossible to know the answer of this question at current statues of Anka program but It is known that Turkish Army (TurAF) will order 10 Anka system meaning 30 Anka UAV... Serial production will be started in 2012...

Besides, Turkish Navy officials have also participated to the ceremony. It means that Turkish Naval forces will also order some ANKA's..
