It's a Low Thrust engine Aircraft. First flew in 1977. Rest you can well imagine.

that doesn't seem to be harmful....isn't so.

Its a very good aircraft on its own. There are very many others in the same market segment, but the BAE Hawk an hold its own. I am just glad that we have moved on to the K-8 as well.

Care to imagine why its the worlds best and most widely used fighter trainer ? Care to visit Farnborough and watch the Red Arrows perform before you pass an arm chair judgement ?

Regards

"Care to imagine" India just got 2 Hawks specially for training. That is just wrong and oddddd. Are you kinging me.:pakistan:

Again can you elaborate the point you are trying to make ? They have bought 66 of which 24 will be delivered from UK in the next 6 months.

wastage of pulic money:hitwall: that'sall i can say

the L-159B or the MiG-AT would have cost us around $10-million/unit

whereas the ugly & near obsolete HAWKs are costing us an astounding $25-million/unit at the moment.

we should learn from pakistan who gets their K-8 (Hongdu JL-8) traiiners
at dirt cheap rates

Dear Amun,

Maybe you should have joined the IAF because all my friends in the RAF say till date not even the Russians use the MIG AT and you may like to check the sales of the L 159 B till date.

I guess Indians like to buy expensive toys as per you ? Well why don't you send you CAirS to China to learn flying ? Maybe he will buy chinese airplanes next time.

Regards

After the Flying cofens(Mig 23) indians think for another type of tranner aircraft
