Featured Time to bury the past and move forward: COAS Bajwa

That's your assumption based on your own idea of what's the reality, I'm sure it has no merits, India has mentioned this time and time again, when militancy in Kashmir stops we can talk peace and by the looks of it, the Pakistan government understands it. If you follow through, then we may even have a resolution.

India wants it's soldiers to keep on harassing and torturing Kashmiris but also demands Pakistan stop the militancy even though the last big attack in Pulwama was carried out with locally sourced materials and by a guy who was tortured by security forces in the past lmao. It doesn't sound like they're interested in peace at all.

Well, you must be really surprised when international watchdogs, multiple government agencies repeatedly rap up Pakistan based groups and Pakistani citizens and the state for terrorism in India. But sure, it ended two decades back when Musharraf turned off militants pipe from Pakistan. Hope you managed a straight face when writing that, 'two decades ago'.
And not one of them can point to any credible evidence to support any conclusions of 'Pakistani State support'. It's literally just regurgitation of the same old nonsense to curry favor with their latest geo-political goal of 'containing China through India'.

Go ahead, link me to one assessment or report by an international organization that can reference credible evidence of Pakistani State support to militants in Kashmir since Musharraf ended it.

Militancy in Indian Occupied Kashmir will stop when Indian ends its atrocities on the people of Kashmir.

That's on India, not Pakistan.
I repeat, the Kashmir issue and Pakistan does not even make it to the top 10 issues we face in the minds of an average Indian. For most of us, it's a dispute in the North whose resolution or non-resolution has no immediate impact on our security situation or economy.
Tell that to your government leadership and right wing hate-mongering politicians and media, that drag in Pakistan day and night.

Please go use your Shrivastva group propaganda on someone else not as well informed.

Yeah no, geopolitics didn't put you in trouble with these agencies. If it did, Pakistani Punjabis wouldn't die in Kashmir. How do you explain people like Hafiz Saeed who is a UN-declared terrorist, which China co-sponsored, how come China co-sponsor declaring Pakistanis as global terrorists, which according to you is a geopolitical strategy to contain China.

You want a link, just read the US state department official response when asked about the newfound peace between India and Pakistan and cross-border terror issue.
"I think what I can say and what you’ve heard me say from this podium, and others from this administration say, is that we had called on the parties to reduce tensions along the Line of Control byreturning to that 2003 ceasefire agreement. We have been very clear that we condemn the terrorists who seek to infiltrate across the Line of Control"

Yeah, so, I hope you don't issue stamps to commemorate members of banned outfits then?

Stop doing things you shouldn't be doing, and don't blame geopolitics when caught. We will stop talking about you, and be another Bangladesh ( invisible ).

Mumbai attacks didn't make us love you, any flak you're receiving Srivastava or anything is well deserved.

Yup. I believe India will take a different approach to Pakistan BASED on the military situation in Kashmir- Pakistan cant expect to keep sending Fedayeen and JEM to Kashmir to fight INdians and expect Indians to believe them when they say they want peace with India in Kashmir.

Also, INndia's stature and strength globally is currently on the uptrend, so India is probably the least motivated to make concessions/peace with Pakistan without getting something solid in return.

Pakistan dosent really want peace with India

India has had a couple of brutal years of late
India was defeated by Pakistan in the 2019 skirmish

It's then faced multiple internal issues with its capital being engulfed in riots 2 years in a row now

China has humilated India, beaten it's soldiers to death, taken it's territory with India being left with little option

The latest peace overtures with both China and Pakistan have come because India has been boxed with the possibility of a two front war greater then ever

On the back of this comes this speech by COAS

Hindustanis are quick to anger and quicker in calming down. It just takes one slap. The effects of which are going to last a long time. They will keep barking like dogs but won't bite.

How Indians reacted to this was terrible. They mistake our peaceful gesture for weakness.

Fine by me, we don't care what your views are with regard to India, we are at least in a position to comfortable ignore you and the snake oil of Central Asia access you're selling. Keep your nose out of our affairs or we will have a stake in yours.

India needs to simply sit back, wait till Pakistan make verifiable actions against non-state actors, then and only then you can expect the Indian political establishment to react. COAS statements, Imran Khan statements are all good to create a sense of positivity, but if you're going to be back with the old tactics, all these are worth nothing and hence the silence from top-level establishments in India.

The land dispute with Pakistan is not as important as the security threat you're causing. We have border issues with China, or even Bangladesh, they don't send gun-toting yahoos to force these areas into their countries the difference with Pakistan is well the obvious one and there is no peace when there are militants and active support. You can't hold a gun to our head and ask for peace.
Position of pakistan on Kashmir is clear. Abrogation is your decision, not ours and do you really think that we care about abrogation? Guns and missiles will continue to rain until you accept our terms otherwise there is no solution. We can't sit back and watch Indians kill youngsters in Kashmir. If you do, you will pay and that's the bottom line. This peace gesture shouldn't be mistaken as weakness. We can only stop if you stop killing youngsters. Our position on Kashmir is quite clear.

We learned it hard way india will take time violance war is not a lasting resolce of conflict learn from manking historg

Its not the job of the army chief to ask for burying of the past and moving forward. His job is to remain prepared for war. Statements such as these makes you look weak and pathetic that you have no will to fight.
Waisa on another note considering the life style of Generals or should i say their ayeshi, no wonder their is no will to fight. This by the way i am telling from a personal experience that i very recently went through. Their ayashi rivals that of any politician.

Yes their ayashi rivals those of millionaires. And the only reason this happens is when the whole system is corrupt. BUt i agree - it is NOT the job of COAS to be talking about PEACE. I have never seen Serving Military Chiefs anywhere, including US and Australia, talk about PEACE openly in Public.

Pity this man. Peace is not given in charity. We did not put 1 lakh rupee uniform on him that he quiver in it.

'Giving peace a chance' is not a step, first or any other.

What tangible first step will India take to show it wants to have peace and resolve the J&K dispute?
If Pak wants peace, what is the offer??.... We give chance to Pak to take responsibility of peace... If want peace you take first step...
