Once again. Chinese phone maker Xiaomi robbed $676 million by Indian government

Florida law is 2023. Chinese laws have been there since 2000

It is like China complaining about Tik Tok ban while they block Google and Facebook
Google and Facebook didn't want to play by Chinese laws, so they got out themselves. Singapore was granted to own and administer a an industrial park of large land and properties, China bought them back later as agreed in the original contract. It was wrong to let foreigners own and administer such large piece of land and properties in a city.

That's only your own opinion. Chinese companies have to play by Chinese rules. Jack Ma wants to break the rules for his companies. That simple. Maybe, you shouldn't own any Chinese shares if you do.

Many people did not know that Ali,Lenovo is "VIE" structure.

VIE is extremely harmful to China and people.

China can always make law to outlaw it.

CHina did not ban Google or Facebook.

Facebook and Google did not want to comply with China law.

While Tik Tok is complying all US law.

Lenovo is a pro-American company.

"In 2016, Lenovo had voted for the enhanced mobile broadband coding scheme proposed by American company Qualcomm over Chinese tech company Huawei at the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) held in Portugal and the United States. The conference was aimed at setting the global 5G technology standard."

Guess what, Jack Ma sided with Lenovo's voting on the incident. That's why many Chinese don't like Lenovo.

It is VIE. So you can call it HK company US company NOW legally.

Wall Street Journal: Western companies are desperately looking for a backup to China as the world’s factory floor, a strategy widely termed “China plus one.”

India is making a concerted push to be the plus one.

I doubt if India can replicate China's strategy as becoming the world’s factory floor, "concerted pushes" notwithstanding.

There are many, many reasons why - many of them structural issues.

Building Golden Quads and Freeways out the Yin-Yang can gather votes, but becoming an exporting nation in China fashion is a long, long slog. China started this in the 1980's. India didn't even gear up until the last decade. Not much to show for in India - yet.

Indian political drama is exemplified by show case projects that show semblance of progress, not actual progress. And that fake progress is trumpeted in Godi media loudly a hundred times over. Too much noise and too little substance. Good only for votes by gullible and uninformed Indians.

India is destined to be Top-down developing country (as it is built now), while China developed in bottom-up fashion. A few million Backoffice workers (and scam outfit offices) in India cannot lift up the rest of lower middle class and lower class India. Too many in that latter group. Like I said, top down development like this (Trickle down economics) does not work, especially in a "fiscally unbalanced" society like India.

Unless you lift up the lower and lower middle classes (majority of Indian population) they will not start to consume products. No consumption, no basis for a strong economy. Indian consumption levels (for anything) are a fraction that of China's.

One or two Foxconns does not a developing country make....I will congratulate when there are hundreds of Foxconns and they are all funded by Adanis and Ambanis of India. This is not the case now in India (as big of a country and humongous populace it is), while it is in China. Buy a plane ticket and please go visit China sometime.

Right now Indian industrialists are only intent on siphoning money out of India in whatever fashion possible. No one in the upper middle or upper classes in India have India's best interests at heart.

It would be helpful if you can show us where it says in the original contract that Singapore agrees to let China buy back the Suzhou Industrial Park.

Lie. I never heard cutting power and water news. The loss will be too big because it's an Industrial part.
What Lie?
It was waste land with no electric power, water, roads.
Singapore had to build the power station, roads, telecommunication stations, sanitation and water piping to that piece of waste land you now call Suzhou Industrial Park.

Singapore was INVITED to build the Industrial Park, NOT a grant, because of our expertise.
China was happy with how Singapore was being run, that China sent thousands of their officials here for training.

SINGAPORE: New university centre for Chinese officials
20 December 2009

Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has set up a centre to enhance the training of Chinese officials and public administrators and spearhead China-related research on public administration and economic management, the official Chinese Xinhua news agency reports.

14 April 2019

Since 1996, Singapore has received more than 55,000 Chinese officials and cadres on training programmes.

Lol, Florida has just banned Chinese nationals from even owning a house or any piece of land there,
There must be some soid reason for kicking out the Chinese. Must be some unlawful activity. Very sad.
I hope Canada also doesn’t resort to a similar move. You might have to pack your bags and return to golden land and paradise called China.

It would be helpful if you can show us where it says in the original contract that Singapore agrees to let China buy back the Suzhou Industrial Park.
Please don’t argue with dear friend @etylo. Whatever he says is truth and nothing else. He doesn‘t need to provide any proof. If you insist, he will abuse you and call you a retard.

Of course, there is reason for your Indian gov to rob Xiaomi in broad daylight too, that is out of pure greed, for the Americans are out of pure China-hating fearmongering. Go concern yourself with your slum living condition, mine is of no concern for you.

Please advise Xiaomi to exit India if they are getting robbed. What kind of fools are they? You sitting in Canada knows this but Xiaomi doesn’t.
Moreover, we don’t need tax evading crooks from China.

We have enough of our own.

So as you said China didn't make trouble to the park. It is a fair competition. China also made many similar investments(some of them are also in waste lands) in other coutries as part of OBOR project. China never asked other countries to give up their lands adminstration right permanently

Please advise Xiaomi to exit India if they are getting robbed. What kind of fools are they? You sitting in Canada knows this but Xiaomi doesn’t.

You know why I said no one in China pities Xiaomi? Because Xiaomi is too stupid for still believing it can make money in India. It should have moved out of India long ago.

You think China was going to allow SG to own and administer a large piece of land, properties and facilities like SIP indefinitely in a Chinese city ? That would effectively make SIP a SG territory, making China losing sovereignty over Chinese land, that is against China's laws. Don't kidding, no independent country will allow that to happen to their land. SG made and is still making good money from SIP. SG has no right to ask China to stop developing other areas in Suzhou becos those developments maybe in direct competition of SIP.

This is my last reply to you.
It cannot be fair because the place was developed by Singapore.
The competition rode on Singapore success without having to pay for opening up the waste land and promoting the Industrial Park.
After the Singapore Park was successfully running and attracting new investors, the thieves build a competing Industrial Park and the local government directed ALL NEW ventures to their park.

Suzhou Industrial Park was built with Singapore in control as a showcase for the rest of China how Singapore runs its Industrial Parks.
China WANTED Singapore to run the Suzhou Industrial Park, because we are known to have very little corruption, at least that was what the Chinese Central Government wanted in 1994.
