And do some people honestly think that Mig officials or Putin hid in the bushes, waited for the Indian navy to arive and than gave orders not to do a naval exercise, but instead punish the Indians by conducting a land based exercise?

I didn't expect that one coming. I thought Russia and India was supposed to be all weather? This is definitely a worrying sign for India despite the already done deals.

Not worrying at all...I think India doesn;t have to think too much of it. Hey, Russia has an advantage but its up to them to use it. They have supplied both China and India in the past, but the relation to China was superior in terms of agreement and tech then India. Corruption plagued india, but finally there is some progress. Russia can not compete with sub standard equipment. If it wants to see a future, then go all out. if you read the article clearly, it points out serious issues that favor India. I think the author has shown his countrymen problems that need to be fixed in order for the relationship to succeed. At the same time, there is a lot of cooperation going on. Plus, the article clearly points the reason for not doing the exercise is hesitation on the Russian part becasue it feels unprepared in front of the international audience.

Yeah, so much about their Indo-Russo brotherhood, it is time to get real since Russia keeps treating India like a cash cow without a slight respect.

India has invested most money on PAK FA, meanwhile they can't even access to its core technology, this sh!t can hold no longer.

This is the best time for Pakistan to enhance ties with Russia while India moves closer to the United States.

Russia is not too happy with U.S. being in the region, Pakistan must become closer with Russia and China, and become a full member of SCO.

Russia will not do that as they are clever enough to know that Pakistan could not replace India in terms of sales. The Cold War is long over and even if Russians decides to snub India, we have host of other countries including US that will make a bee line to sell us the same stuff. A lot of arms factories and dockyards in Russia keep their doors open based on orders from India. So it makes no economical or political sense for Russians to ditch India in favor of Pakistan.

They refused to sell the good stuffs to us decade ago, but it doesn't matter, we have developed our own. Today, we don't need their gadgets anymore, a good sign of relief.
