What's new

Hindu conversion issue, incidents, rebuttals, court cases, rights activists

When it comes to Interior Sindh its more fuedal issue than extremism , fuedal lords have their thugs out on loose ... kidnapping for ransom have gone off the roof , crime rate is very high ..

No body seems to be looking at the rape/sex angle to this. The incident reeks of a rape and then using a religious conversion to obscure the issue..Dont hear of too many boys being forcefully converted to Islam

This is the point. There's certainly an ethnic cleansing factor to it, but I'm more worried about the immediate fate of the girls in question rather than the overall fate of the Hindu community in Pakistan.

Oh, it's a general trend in all Conversion crazy religions. Convert a girl/woman. You will have a whole family of them of the given religion. Christians and Muslims do it all the time. When people like us talk about conversion obsession, they resort to saying things like:
-forced conversions are against their religion.(scriptural basis but not the spirit obviously as history suggests)
-our religion teaches that by living a respectable life and inspiring others, we should attract people to the religion.
-We are very comfortable with living in a Multi-religious society, love diversity and will try to contribute to it according to our religious/cultural values.

But this is all for Public consumption. Among themselves in private, they talk about crazy ideas like how converting people is one the greatest services to religion, there by god., People earn great respect if they get more people to convert,. Tell tales about how easy it was to convert a particular person and talk about strategies etc., it's pathetic and sad.

Initially i did not believe all this because i couldn't believe that people can have so low mentality but i the person who told me all this was one of the persons who used to do that himself.

It's weird talking to these kinds of people knowing full well that all they are doing is to try and impress you (by saying whatever we would appreciate as per them)and get you to convert.

She testified in court that she married out of love and accepted the faith change willingly - SHE SAID that she had to run from home because they didn't agree.

Please provide a source for the claim that she testified that she married out of love and accepted the faith willingly, and that that testimony was not provided under pressure. Until you can do so, I'll let her face do the talking:

SUKKUR: Faryal Shah (Rinkle Kumari) appeared before the media on Thursday and made it clear that she had not been kidnapped and had not been forced to convert to Islam and marry Naveed Shah.

Faryal said that she had converted to Islam and had married Naveed Shah of her own free will, and that nobody had pressurised her into this. Reading out the Kalma-e-Tayyaba, Faryal said she was a Muslim girl and therefore had nothing to do with her parents.

Faryal (Rinkle Kumari) and her husband Naveed Shah were produced in front of the Sindh High Court (SHC) Sukker bench on Thursday morning amid tight security.

The couple was escorted by SSP Ghotki Pir Mohammad Shah along with a heavy contingent of police. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Mian Abdul Haq of Bharchoondi Sharif, his son Mian Mohammad Aslam and a large number of their followers were also present.

The couple through their lawyer, Achar Gabole, had filed a constitutional petition stating that their lives were under threat from the relatives of the girl, who had been issuing threats of dire consequences.

Answering a question on threats to their lives, she said, “Our lives are under threat from my maternal uncle Raj Kumar”. She once again made it clear that she was a Muslim and wanted to live with her husband Naveed Shah.

Advocate Mohammad Murad Lund, who was representing Faryal’s grandfather Manohar Lal, told The Express Tribune that the single bench comprising of Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh without recording the statement of the girl had ordered SSP Ghotki to provide protection to the couple and ensure that they are produced before the SHC chief justice in Karachi on March 12.

Advocate Mohammad Murad Lund kept on insisting that, the girl was under pressure due to the presence of a large number of Bharchoondi Sharif followers. He said everything will become “crystal clear” in Karachi, as the girl would be able to record her statement in a tension free atmosphere.
Mian Mohammad Aslam of Bharchoondi Sharif said that everyone had seen that Faryal was neither under pressure and had not said a word against the Pirs. “Rather she gave a statement against her own maternal uncle who is threatening to kill her.”

He said his father, PPP MNA Mian Abdul Haq had also come to the court because the girl’s parents had requested that they wanted to meet their daughter, but they didn’t come to see her.

Aslam said when the couple had come to Dargah Bharchoondi Sharif on February 24, Faryal had spoken to her parents on his instructions and had told them that she had come there to convert to Islam and marry Naveed Shah.

“I personally requested them to come over and meet their daughter to see for themselves that she was not under pressure, but they didn’t’ come,” Mian Aslam said.

He once again said that neither Islam nor the law of the land allowed forced conversion.

Old Propaganda of India and Indian Agents in Media of Pakistan exposed so what Indians need to do is solve their problems than come and tell us what we should do

Case closed. Free will, end of story.

tell that too indians and ofcourse they will come and say she is threatened, she is forced to make the statements express is not a credible source.. lets see what the drama is but most probably they wont come near the thread .... she said herself as you said it case super CLOSED

she should have thought about her family:hitwall:.Her family will continue to mourn this decision.
this made me cry.
its very difficult to live when our own hurts us..leave others..

Faryal said she was a Muslim girl and therefore had nothing to do with her parents.

thats gr8..:hitwall:

i remember my relative who was offered for marriage in malaysia with muslim girl, girl asked him for conversion in muslim religion but he refused and on other hand,we see this kind of kids who says i dont have to do anything with my parents:hitwall:

Simple thing to consider here. Suppose Rinkle would have said,"I was kidnapped." what was her life after that Mazhabi jamat's always tried to harass her, some even try to attack her( when these Jamat never spared Ahmedi Nobel Prize winner Abdus Salam from harassment, she is just a girl), No boy would have married her.

We have case of Aasia Bibi but his innocent husband and Children on the run to save their life. Or the Christan girl who did spelling mistake in exam and her mother was transferred to Abottabad. Pakistan has high level of intolerance and it seems Rinkle made a tough decision in this pressure because her life is already ruined.
