Excerpt:

One good signal came when our Indus Waters Commissioner Mr Jamaat Ali Shah left for India last week for talks with his counterpart. Reported in Nawa-e-Waqt (May 31, 2009), Indus Waters Treaty Commissioner Jamaat Ali Shah, while leaving for New Delhi to talk about waters shared by India and Pakistan, said that Pakistan was getting its share of waters under the Indus Treaty and that building a dam was the right of India. He said less water in Pakistani rivers was because of lack of rain, not because India had blocked it.

salaam

Nice to see little confrontation on that front, as India could easily cut off supply to Pakistan.

However, that worst case scenario could be easily rectified...

Water will always be a sensitive issue.

These Joint Working groups should have regular meetings with free exchange of data so that there is no confusion.

What I've just read says that water flows un interupted across the borders between Ind - Pk.

India has not stopped the flow of water & is abiding by the Indus water treaty.. so were Pk members seeing shadows where they are none ?

Even a dam does not deny water to Pak . Lets just pray to the rain gods.

Water is a natural resource and cannot be controlled by man so
there are no boundries for it......
Cheers:cheers:
