India moves in more troops, stand-off with China escalates

Maybe India should just surround and kill these Chinese troops. This would make India China border more of a focus for India rather than Pakistan and Bangladesh borders, what India perceive as China's proxy.

Why on earth would India do all that?

We have no intentions of escalating the situation.

Because it'll develop into a World War. Other countries will get involved for sure. And now it's the nuclear age. The Way a war between Germany and Poland took the shape of World War.

bull crap. No countries would get involved except making popcorn when China and India get involve in a war. Maybe Russia would jack up the price again for the AC but that would be the only action from a 3rd party.

It's most likely the pressure politics. May be a result of slow or no response by GOI on the proposals put forth by New Chinese leadership but I guess this will only help to create mistrust.
@Chinese-Dragon any thoughts from local media there ???

A war between two giants will destabilize the region... will change the global equations... will give advantage to the west and EU powers....

It will destabilize the region as both a big countries. But how will it change the global equation. It would just be a regional conflict. Maybe China might not do anything if India kill these troops. maybe they will do something. But whatever happens, it will be limited and both side can claim victory.

1st thing If India do have intention to force or kill the PLA soldiers... India won't waste another tent in 300mt... stop arguing about war man.... Both sides are not stupid to go war or even conflict for this issue.... it is not any big problem.... 50men can do nothing.... i am talking if a war occurs between India-China... it will be honey cake to the USA... will take the advantage for sure.....

IF you think another country would get involved, than you do not know about international relations of India and China. India has no allies and no one would help India in this case. Same with China.

When I mean allies, I mean the Nato alliance or US/Japan or US/Korea alliance.

How can US take advantage? US has no skin in the India/China conflict except making sure that WalMart is fully stocked.

just a childish step of aggression from PLA ahead of the premiers visit . some generals in pla are getting worried about normalization at border their importance is at stake .

issue will get resolved at diplomatic levels.

.

Look like you are up for civilise discussion. Ok will be civilised till you back to regular sh!t.

I don't know about international relations :omghaha: ( I can't explain that here )

India has no allies - Not true
China has many enmies - 100 true

A single conflict on the border and India will respond to Japan's multilateral proposal. So India will have said allies and china will have said enemies.

Your concerns and negative comments on Russians from price escalations to delays... You don't have any idea about that still you write it everywhere. Once a Chinese friend told me that there is always something that eyes can't see. I think that might help you.

If IA has deployed an ITBP battalion, PLA would surely be having adequate response tucked behind the hill where their platoon is pitched. Btw, PLA now has a massive force camped on the Tibetan plateau. That includes the T-90 heavy tanks said to be the most powerful in PLA. PLAAF command responsible is far superior to IAF.

What India should do is allow America to station troops there just like Japan and Korea. Than there would be an Asian version of Nato with Japan, SK, Australia, Singapore and India with US station troops in all these Asia-Pacific countries.

NEW DELHI: Local military commanders of India and China are holding a flag meeting on Tuesday in a bid to resolve the situation arising out of the incursion by Chinese troops in Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO) sector in Ladakh.

The meeting scheduled at 10:30am is being held in Daulat Beg Oldi sector, sources said.

India raised the issue with China last week immediately after the incident of the Chinese incursion came to light.

Apart from summoning the Chinese ambassador to South Block, the joint secretary in MEA, who is heading the India-China joint working mechanism to deal with issues on the boundary from the Indian side, spoke to his counterpart in Beijing last week, emphasising on the need to resolve the issue.

Foreign secretary Ranjan Mathai had summoned the Chinese ambassador Wei Wei to South Block and stressed the need for resolving the issue, the sources said.

The Chinese side said they will look into the issue and respond accordingly.

However, when contacted the Chinese embassy in New Delhi reiterated the comments made by their foreign ministry spokesperson in Beijing yesterday.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying had said yesterday that "China's frontier troops have been abiding by the agreement between the two countries and abiding by the LAC agreed by the two countries.

"Our frontier troops have been patrolling on the China's side of LAC", Hua had said, adding, "Our troops are patrolling on the Chinese side of the LAC and have never trespassed the line".

Chinese embassy officials maintained that China is ready to work with the Indian side to further the coordination and cooperation on the issues of boundary.

A platoon-strength contingent of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) came 10 km inside the Indian territory in Burthe in DBO sector, which is at an altitude of about 17,000 feet, on the night of April 15 and established a tented post there, according to highly placed sources.

Defence minister A K Antony had said yesterday that India will take "every step" to protect its interests to resolve the situation arising out of the incursion.
