RAW was conducting an experiment for the NEW WORLD ORDER in BD.

Results show that DALALISM is the KEY to setting a WORLD GOVERNMENT, ILLUMINATI, DA VINCI CODE, LOST SYMBOL, ETC.

you missed Anunaki :D

Indian ocean is a better place to do that than going to north pole.
These research ships are very expensive to run.
Mainly used for sample collection and experimentation for pharmachutical use of marine creatures...

Hope they have well devised financial plans for the research ship..
Without financial returns , these projects are waste of money.

Not at all a waste of money, with the melting of ice lot off late hydrocarbons are discovered in Arctic and Russian regions, India is also entering into the race.

Silliness of some neighbor members here - Snow melting due to global warming will reveal a lot of minerals in the Arctic pole - India has observer status in the arctic group and soon that area will be hotly contested for minerals. So instead of bickering our SA neighbors should be happy that a South Asian country is representing SA in the Arctic circle :P

Yindoo invasion of North pole :D

Why Chinese accent, use Pakistani accent :D,

We are not there for invasion, we are only exploring and also doing research, in accordance of International Laws.

science and tech. has to be improved for betterment of Indian society.

I dont get it, how is this good news, this vessel is intended for 'polar exploration'. How does it benefit India? IMO the Ministry of Earth Sciences should reallocate this money towards locating deep sea mineral deposits/offshore waste cleanup.

Billy Boy; you seem to be out of touch with developments. There are already Four Research Ships in India employed on the tasks that you speak off. Apart from that there a number of Hydrographic and Fisheries Research Ships. Only the Icebreaker was missing, so the Dept of Oceanography, Ministry of Science and Technology; was forced to charter ships from overseas. Now this expenditure will be avoided.

There is yet another that is missing.....

Besides scientific interests, both India and China have business interests related to mineral resources, fisheries and shorter sea routes in the Arctic.

Shorter sea routes to India ? Who are you trying to fool ?

Cool! Not many nations in the world have such ships.

What's cool about it? We haven't made it.

While polar exploration for resources is good I don't think now is the stage when we have other priorities at hand.
