China's manned space program spokeswoman Wu Ping introduces the launch of the Shenzhou-10 manned spacecraft at a press conference at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, northwest China's Gansu Province, June 10, 2013. The Shenzhou-10 manned spacecraft will be launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 5:38 p.m. Beijing Time (0938 GMT) June 11. (Xinhua/Li Gang).

China and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) will co-host an international seminar on manned spaceflight in Beijing in September, spokeswoman for China's manned space program Wu Ping revealed Monday.

The seminar aims to boost international exchanges of latest developments and following steps in manned spaceflight and promote cooperation in the area, Wu told a press conference ahead of the launch of the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft.

She said since China's first launch of the manned space program, the country has been actively cooperating with other countries in areas such as aerospace medicine, space scientific experiments, training and selections of astronauts.

"We will be more open in carrying out extensive exchanges and cooperation with other countries during the construction and operation stages of the space lab and manned space station, and share our achievements with them, especially with developing nations," she said, while stressing China's commitment to making more contribution to global efforts to peacefully explore outer space.

China will launch the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft at 5:38 p.m. Beijing Time Tuesday, carrying three astronauts to dock with the module Tiangong-1, a year after its first successful manned docking last June. This marked a significant step for China to achieve its goal of building a space station by 2020.

How about a BRICS space station

From the Chinese point of view, if they are rational, it should not be an option.

It will not only ruin the Chinese space dream but will also threaten China's existence by arming its enemies.

I don't think so. Where did you get such a crazy idea from?

China is already sharing its economic success with rest of the world (even its hostile neighbours) and is now offering to share its success in space sciences and technologies.

China is not some kind of a United States which is ready to bomb every country on earth, murder millions of people, liberate the oil fields, all in the name of national interests, security, freedom and democracy.

I just think that the Chinese leaders are aware of how some of China's neighbors are doing everything to nuke and obliterate China with the latest series of missiles (Agnis and Brahmos for example) so that China ceases to exist.

This is a military reality.

If if Chinese don't see this reality, then its fine, why should I care? If they go extinct, thats their problem, not mine. But I think they are not that stupid and so I made that comment.

I think a smart Chinese would stick to the concept of lone development because space is important in military. Chinese should not be too much emotional and excited at the initial progress, they should go steadily, even if with longer time, alone and alone. IMO.

actually China's Space station is aimed to China's first own space station as well as to fill the gap of ISS,by providing other countries a space lab, which will retire after 2020.but multiple Space station is already in planning stage.first commercial Space lab,Bigelow Commercial Space Station, will be available post 2015.as well as future version of ISS will be started within few years.and for India's perspective,ISRO Orbital Vehicle was tested in the past.and India is giving more importance to unmanned space flight than manned one,as our space research program is our need, not prestige issue.

come on..you can discuss this kind of info in other threads also, can't you??please post what is relevant, not this kind of mud slinging.

I think bangladesh will be part of this program.. we have signed agreement with China for space co-operation :D

Seven Asia-Pacific nations, including Bangladesh and Pakistan, on Friday teamed up with emerging space giant, China, and signed a convention on space cooperation to set up a formal organisation. The eight nations are Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru and Thailand. Representatives from Argentina, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Ukraine also attended the signing ceremony of the Apsco convention.

India is undertaking manned missions in the very near future, we do not need Chinese co operation here. India is already a part of International space station. Russian help is already there

On the other hand India has to safe guard its strategic interests against China, as it is luring small nations around India to form a network of satellite stations(radars stations like the one in Srilanka which can spy on Indian Navy).

Indian space program is a robust and reliable one

This is your ace in the hole SUPARCO move and join the Chinese lead.

"Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan, stated that it was his country’s desire that the first foreign astronaut aboard a Chinese spacecraft be a Pakistani, alluding to the future level of their cooperation. And analysts do not rule out the future possibility of a Pakistani astronaut flying with Chinese counterparts for space missions."

What crap's got into your mind?Nuking China?Who has the ability to do that?India..?with its tiny nuclear arsenal comparing with China's ?come and try us,I think some nuclear power in India's immediate neigborhood can easily take care of India with nukes.
