@KingMamba did you seen bro 2006 army mela videos ?

here is little show

I could be wrong, but based on what I know, the Special Services Group is taught a combination of Taekwondo & Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, whereas new recruits are started off with boxing.

No bro I had not seen it, according to my brother who is a brown belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu he claims it seems to be a derivative of judo.

In the videos posted above what is the flag they were carrying, the one with the red stripe?? Also were they regular troops in the video above?

I don't know what the striped flag represents, but it's certainly not an official flag. Yeah, as far as I can tell, those seem to be regular troops. I watched a bit of the performance, & it sort of reminded me of Muay Thai & Kick boxing alongside some other mixed & matched derivatives.

Karate and Tae Kwon Do - They're just for show with all those choreography friendly moves ! :argh:

And what would one do with Judo - Grappling kahan kaaam aaniii haiii ?

I wish I could learn Wing Chun Boxing here in Lahore ! :(

Sir jee, people really don't give Judo and Karate the respect they deserve. Trust me a good practitioner of Judo has enough grapple and group work experience to put up in most CQB situations, and this can be maintained without regular practice.

It is perfect self defense martial art and offensive martial arts for units who may not have regular practice experience.

Niazi Bhai, I don't know the first thing about fighting.....the only thing I know is how to throw a 'right hook' ! :ashamed:

Do you know of a place in Lahore where they teach Judo ? :undecided:

And whats your opinion about Akido ?

Sir jee, if you want to learn there are two ways:

1. Private tution ( Very Expensive 1 on 1 session)
2. Join a dojo/ Gym/ Club.

2. Is easier and cheaper, without going totally off topic: Check this place out:
Club Synergy | MMA Club in Lahore, MMA Gym in Lahore

Good Luck.

Shotokan is good for developing the military mindset; classical infantry tactics are about boldly taking and holding ground, and Shotokan's offensive, fearless, forward moving approach fits well with that.
