What's new

PAF is in Qatar with JF-17s and Mushaks.

They Way Qatar is evaluating JF-17 and Mushaq ... You never know maybe they sign a deal in future... Well Geo News is quoting that Apart from LNG deal Qatar and Pakistan also signed 4 more deals that includes Defence sector

Geo News would be the worst source on defence matters.

Evaluation is a process which might go on for years and yet the product may be rejected in the end. Take for example Eurofighter and Indian MMRCA drama. How long did they evaluate Eurofighter but in the end it got rejected. So let's not raise our hopes too early. It is upto Qatari Air Force and Government to decide if it meets their requirements. Final decision lies with them. We should focus on developing our JFT to a standard where they get convinced of its capability. In the end it may or may not be successful. That's how this business is.

Middle East.... here we come.....

However, something is indeed cooking in there.... so also there are few more things coming for PAF.. Indeed the middle east is gonna help as well so by viewing the things happened recently, we are rightly aligned.

Evaluation? Is Qatar interested in buying these?? Man that would be awesome if they decided to buy JF-17

and will they leave to Morocco For Air Show from Qatar :D :D

With the JFT block III becoming a reality, I think in the case of many middle eastern governments, every nation should have it as this is a cheaper, but very capable fighter to have for "daily" use. You can keep your EFT's, Raales and other $ 70 million planes for tier I support during prime time conflicts. But maintain defensive alerts, CAP's, Pilot Hours and Combat training on the JFT. I think it provides the most bang for the buck. It will also diversify these countries air-forces to have two capable Weapons system (Western and this).

Remember, the JFT's internal layout and user interaction is based on the F-16 (Western) so it shouldn't be difficult to fly and adapt for any air-force which uses Western weapons systems and jets. I think you'll see the JFT block III in Qatar, KSA, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Miramar, Sudan, Nigeria and in Venezuela at the least. There may be others out there more than this list. Let the block III role out though :enjoy:

Great stuff man really happy to see Pakistan a potential fighter that can meet our basic needs and we don't have to kneel down before Uncle Sam. I wish we continue to invest into JF-17 and make it a very potent fighter that is the only way to forward. These Go Pro vids are good but we need some real professionals like @Stealth to create some good content (HD Images and nice Videos) coming from a Internet marketing background I can vouch this that even if you have ordinary stuff but if you have good marketing skills you can sell still sell them.

While it is suggested that the JF17 might be considered as a replacement for Qatar's Alpha's. I wonder if there is a twist in the deal where Pakistan swaps JF17's and perhaps receives some cash and retired Qatari Mirage 2000's in exchange as the latter get replaced by the Rafales. With our Mirage rebuild facility, years of know how and perhaps with an up gradation program we could extract some really useful life out of those 2000's. Both Qatar and Pakistan kill two birds with one stone.
