ISI is the premier spy agency of Pakistan. All across the globe all the forces directly answer the civillian governments, so why is Pakistan any different?
Having said that current political incumbents are not only highly incompetent but will surely abuse and surrender this institute of Pakistan which is currently feeling the sharp end of the stick, War on Terror.

hahah OMG! thanks for telling me, i of all the people would never have guessed what ISI stands for. did you see any ISI words in my post? that was more of a general statement not specific to ISI. try to be a little accommodating while reading comments that defies your logic's.

those civilians are Pakistani's too ? same people? just because the army ones spend 2 years in PMA they dont become super humans, those ISI civilian officials are also trained by Army & special staff. if name is the biggest hurdle then changing it shouldn't be a problem when you can change the name of province after 7 decades. and if its not viable then there should be a prime agency other than ISI which will be headed by civilians. people of Pakistan don't trust their own people & yet we are a nation

Actually the thing is that they soil their pants when they hear of ISI and just want to see it end somehow.

ISI is doing everything right and these people are jealous of it, I have an article from NYT, the pentagon mouthpiece where they asked CIA officials about ISI and they look at it with awe and professional jealousy.

yes ISI has proved its worth since its inception in 1948. Tose who hate pakistan will hate ISI because ISI is the first and biggest defence line for pakistan.
