UN support for China project passing through Azad Kashmir puts India’s claim in jeopardy

It is nice of China to build infrastructure in area which might eventually come back in India's control. As far as India has specified and reiterated its claim, it should be more than enough for now. Pakistan is singing praises of CPEC as if it is some magic wand which will get rid of their economic and social woes. If it is true, well - good for Pakistan. China doesn't do anything as a favor - I think it will demand its pound of flesh. I hope it is not the kind of flesh Shylock demanded in Merchant of Venice.

China wants to bypass the sea route for its energy resource. That is what CPAC is for. Pakistan has and provide the route for China. In turn, Pakistan and its economy will benefit from being part of the route. All these are irrelevant to India...

you don't need to say all that. .. We don't talk much about DMRC and many other projects.. for Pakistan it's first initiative.. they started looking towards economy. i think it is unnecessary to compare Mumbai gdp with Pakistan. let them celebrate... apart the route map and Chinese deployment, we really don't mind about such project.. but they take it otherwise.. We have bigger issues to be take care of...

Modi talk about route it passes... even pak pm bring about dams being built in kashmir and about kashmir in every place he goes..

Forget bringing in DMRC. It only comes into discussion once Pakistan has gone past 20% GFCF rate. CPEC at most improves it from 15% to about 18% given its year spread....that would improve the growth base rate from about 4% to 4.5% at best....and the loan structuring and repayment long term could affect even that (a lot depends on CPEC multiplier ignition which is a big question mark right now).

Strange, I said the same thing about South Tibet years ago that we will thank India to build rail & road and when we get it back, we have zero investment on it, now you said the same thing , the only way to be in India's control if India has the gut to get it. And no China has never claim to do any favor, we're on CPEC for win-win, none wants to invest with lost, when you put money on bank, you expect to earn some interest same for project, if it's not viable better not waste your money. only India want to see the bad thing happen but we see the cooperation as a bright future.

India build roads on South Tibet is not considered as disputed but when China build road in Pakistan territory is consider as disputed? even Japan didn't want to have any project in South Tibet knowing that is not belong to India.
Once the CPEC project is completed and when Russia, Central Asia, Pakistan and China are collectively boost the economy of this region, India will be marginalized.
One you build the roads and infra, other countries will use them sidelining china. By that time new powers emerge.

Given your track record of trying to get back Taiwan, I wouldn't hold my breath. But hey, best of luck with CPEC - I am happy if China and Pakistan progress. As far as the win-win is concerned, I see the win for China but the win for Pakistan is yet to be seen. As said, good for Pakistan if it happens. Considering it passes through territory we claim, it has been nice of China to toe the diplomatic line and say that China's position on the dispute remains unchanged. And no, I don't want to "see bad thing happen". I only want to see "good thing happen".

India see Pakistan's victory as its loss and it never learned to think win-win. Now Western countries are coming down to this region to make benefit from CPEC, but India is missing the party expecting somebody would come to make it agree or listen to its gibberish and say "hey India baby lets do it the way you want".

The resolution only points to the fact that Kashmir is not an international problem and a bilateral issue between India and Kashmiris.

Secondly these resolutions only aid to some extent in today's world of ever changing dynamics in Asia.

India do not recognise Chinese projects passing through disputed territory and do not have any plans to join.

India has spice route project.
it said that it's internal issue of Pakistan and Pakistan had the right to do what ever it want to do in Azad kashmir.
But i am unable to understand that how come you take that logic from a resolution which supports Pakistan's projest in Kashmir???????

Whats the current status? There haven't beeen much news on that

It will take some time, India started building manufacturing facilities and ports.

CPEC ... CPEC... CPEC.

This is all we hear from Modi complaining.

As wrote earlier, India is not important. They can keep whining about it...
Where you heard that?? Go through his the whole fb timeline , go through his tweets or go through his all speeches , I don't think he ever mentions something like "CPEC " anywhere.
Ya , but our diplomats talks occasionally about that just bcz CPEC is passing through Occupied territory.

Lazy people, can't do a little google search to see India's and Modi's obsessions with Pakistan and CPEC.
I guess Modi sees even nightmares abouts CPEC,

And no, it is not just "occasionaly", it is most of the time and each time India meets with China, no matter in which context. This is called obsession my friend. But as I said, India is not important, she can keep giving us good comedy, :sarcastic:

Just few links here:

Har bar cheekh ke chup kar jaty ho.. kabhi aao na is paar.. let the world see what "over estimation" you're talking about.

Best India can do is increase her cross-border terrorism activities via her proxies. Even on that front, her terrorist proxies are getting their arses whipped properly, thanks to countless sacrifices of our brave nation (civilians and military).

You are talking here Pakistani media obsession with Modi .
You read too much ET.
I already told you India raise CPEC issue but occasionally. But Modi has never spoke personally on this issue in media. But I'm agree whoever speaks in GOI on CPEC it considers as Modi voice.
