An eight-year-old girl has been found living with monkeys in a jungle in India’s Uttar Pradesh. It is unknown how the girl, who is unable to speak and walks on all fours, came to be living in the wild.
The girl was found in Bahraich by sub-inspector Suresh Yadav who was patrolling the Motipur range of Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary near the Nepalese border two months ago.

The sub-inspector spotted the girl with a group of apes and tried to rescue her with the help of other officers. The girl and the monkeys screeched at them, but officers were eventually able to remove the girl.

“She was terrified of us, she could not speak or hear us properly,” Inspector Ram Avtar Singh said. “She was surrounded by three monkeys. She had wounds on her body specifically on her elbow and one on her leg.”

The girl is unable to speak or understand language. She is afraid of humans and has been violent at times.

Doctors at the Bahraich District Hospital say that she has improved since treatment began, and can walk with her legs but continues to revert to walking using her arms and legs.

It isn’t clear how long the girl was living in the wild, or how she ended up there.

“The girl was found two months back, eats and walks like animals do, and runs away on seeing humans,” the hospital’s chief medical officer DK Singh said. “She has marks on her skin, it looks like she has lived with animals for quite some time. Now she is better and healthy, showing improvement.”

Depends on what you want to feel for the little girl. You could be sad for her since she has lost the human traits or you could be happy for her because she is free or clueless from the troubles found in the Indian society.
The poor thing was dumped in the jungle. And now she is scared of humans. how phucked up can this get.
There's seriously something seriously wrong with Indian society it seems. you have a point there.

That's why your question is not that strange. How should one feel about this news? The society has serious issues, a recent news showed a new born Indian babygirl (6 hours after birth) was wrapped in towel and dumped inside earth/mud. She was found by a little girl when she saw two tiny feet sticking out from the ground.

She dont know what to do with the food. Amazing in todays world to be away from human contact in a country like india.

Maybe it's better to be raised by animals in some country.
Reported.

why would you harm your own daughter? Why not give her away to someone that wants to look after her? How can you live with yourself and look in the mirror every morning.
What is going through their phucking skulls. "I don't want her, she is better off dead.."?

Did her parents dump her in the jungles? And how can she not know what to do with food? Did she not eat in the jungle with monkeys?

Ofcourse not roti and sabji in jungle.
First she has to realise and come to terms that it is a edible item then she might try it.

Yeah it is possible she was dumped by the parents. Just imagining how could she have survived early infant days on her own.

Hope she is removed to a better care environment. This seems to be a small town ward.
Most probably abandoned as a baby.
Some parts of india really suck in treatment of girl childs .
This seems to be a problem in china too.
India men to women ratio at birth 1.12
China men to women ratio at birth 1.12

But by age 15 , the ratio increases to 1.17 for china . Means a substantial no of girls in china die to lack of care .
For india it remains fixed at 1.12.

Above figures are from CIA WORKBOOK.
World bank has china at 1.19 and india 1.09.

Hope the parent(s) are caught and sent to prison.
They should be publicily shamed .
But she looks around 7 years old. And that is the most populated state of India. Difficult to find her parents.
Maybe start a DNA registry of each citizen at birth for the future.

Her parents must be from a nearby village of the jungle...surely?

I am happy for her.
She no longer needs to pay a huge amount of money to get married.

Could be from a nearby village . India is a incredibly crowded country.
But identification of the parents should only be for punishment not returning the kid .
