Documentaries on the dark side of the great conquerors/butchers of history.

@AUSTERLITZ
Are there any documentaries like these on winston churchill
He should be on the list also,What do you think?

There are none, churchill was complicit in everything from the palestine problem, starving millions in india, extreme racism, needless destruction of german civilians in 1945 when war was almost over.Nasty nasty dark side.

Great thread....... need a time .....
But Sending all these Inhumane human(by their act n amount of violence) to even hell is not enough.... which place they deserve ?
I hope Humanity do survive eventually ...........

Thanks @AUSTERLITZ
I watched the first documentary about Alexander. What struck me was that all such men (like Napoleon and Alexander) had mothers of strong and dominating character. He was a brave soldier but ruthless, one trait which is exhibited by men with power.Reminds me of Akbar and the way he got Mahamanga's son killed.
And the documentary also claims that he could've been shorter than other men by 4inches(meaning 5'7" or less) ..now guess who else was short like Alexander?? :)

History's Bad Boys - Used to come in History Channel long back. Thanks for digging it up.
The history channel here is a mess...i guess there's a difference between whats aired in India and middle east (for obvious reasons). We have very limited number of programmes aired here ,I usually select programmes from the list in "catch-up tv" and trust me there's nothing interesting in that list.:(

World history is much about eulogizing victorious kings/generals who massacred millions in the process of earning laurels. In SA the largest eliminations of humanity was carried out by the British. In comparison others are no where in numbers/magnitude. But the British are crooks. Through various measures they have extricated themselves as good people - which they were/are not. Indeed CR Das, Netaji Subash,Bhagat Singh, etc had understood their character well. Unfortunately we in SA continue to slaughter each other as if we are mere mechanical dolls whose keys were winded for this when the wicked British left.

Where is Timur the lame? He ravaged Delhi and ordered each man to at least bring with him the head of one dead Delhi wala.

Malhi clan of jatts wounded/killed Alexander in Multan.

Brother What was the exact location of this battle ? since malhi clan is not found in multan it's a northern clan
Also raja porus whose clan was Virk also fought against Alexander what other clans were in his army ?

I don't think Porus was Virk, not enough evidence there. Malhi are spread out, they are found in Multan and also upper punjab areas in Pakistan, Punjab.

This is most famous Pakistani malhi.

I saw the 2nd documentary last nite. And OMG i must say my knowledge of history must be really bad 'coz i didnt 've any knowledge of Attila the pillager. Infact it doesnt stop there,he was brutal and was guilty of killing his own brother.A man who first took money from Romans to kill thousands in the name of ethnic cleansing and later retorted to extortion.I'm sure Romans had a nightmare but they're equally guilty of creating a monster.
I liked the tactics he used in the wars against Romans and came out victorious despite being out numbered by 4:1. i mean wow!!!
And the war strategies these barbarians used were as simple as using ropes to drag and choke the enemies and also breaking the wall of roman city with huge logs.
One thing that really left me amazed is the shape of the hun skulls, something which was distorted because skull of babies were wound tightly by cloth and which made 'em look more monstrous. Take a look...

Traitor how? I think you are speaking from current day perspective, even if his grandfather was Governor of punjab it does not make him traitor to India which is only 67 years old identity. Ranjeet himself was from Gujranwala like Ali Gohar Malhi. Also punjabi muslims were never interested in joining India. Once British made it clear they will only divide empire on religious basis, Punjabi muslims voted for Pakistan over India.

Punjabi Khatris say Raja Porus was Khatri, but i don't think there is any concrete proof to suggest that but anything is possible.
