Military exercise at Andaman’s Havelock island

Commandos of Army, Navy and Air Force today conducted a military exercise in the Havelock island of Andaman and Nicobar, officials said.

A total of 23 Army troops, eight commandos and three Mi-17 V5 helicopters took part in the mission, which was conducted in front of beach goers and onlookers at Radhanagar beach, officials of the tri-services Andaman and Nicobar Command said.

The commandos carried out low hover jumps, slithering and SUR operations from Mi-17 V5 aircraft, which continued for ten minutes at the beach.

“Operation by the Command at Port Blair will instill a great sense of confidence among the local population and tourists,” said Command PRO R P Deshpande.

And if they did two things would happen- the Military would tell them not to film and if they somehow managed to and got the pics up on the internet for us to see they would be removed by the Indian Mil.

Yes and know, if it is to a personal blog then the Indian Military can/will contact the blog owner and tell them to remove it, if it is to a site like Facebook/twitter then it is much harder to get them takedown but not impossible. I saw this one blog from a RAF guy who was on a course in India for a year and he had a blog detailing his time there. As part of the course he visited various IAF/IA/IN bases, DRDO labs and even the IRON FIST 2013 rehearsals. He put loads of pictures up of Indian Mil assets and installations. Towards the end of the year all these posts went and so did the pictures and he made a post saying he had been contacted by some one from the Indian Mil telling them to remove any pics of any Indian Mil hardware/bases/assets and blog posts specifically munitioning Indian bases.

You'd be surprised how diligent the Indian Mil are about these things.

It's a beautiful place, Havelock Island ! Those guys are gonna love this one !

Of course. We already planning to have integrated armed force theory. And we are serious about it . This exercise must be on formulating it's attack and defence formation

Looks like military guys decided to have a official vacation trip, there are 500 islands where they could have gone for practice, but why did they decided Radha Nagar, once rated at as best Asian Beach by Times Magazine.

None the less doesnt make much sense to make military excersise at a tourist place.
