Congress is suave BJP.

I get the impression that Shashi Tharoor at least is genuinely different than the BJP. He seems to be genuinely against communalism. Of course he still has different aims than Pakistan but at least his vision would be less oppressive to the Muslim minority it seems. But then I suppose- it could co-opt them to serve India against Pakistan? I am only speculating, as I don't know the region well.

Shashi Tharoor or Barkha Dutt are quasi liberals and would always want Muslims to give up their identity. Their criticism on India is always incomplete without bashing Pakistan or labeling Pakistan as the only evil in the world.

Of course they aren't like Yogi or typical RSS people however the fact remains that their criticism is homeopathic in nature which essentially means that they are not the part of the solution.

Hello Vapnope and Omar, the Congress has had two recent young entrants - Kanhaiya Kumar who was formerly with the Communist CPI and Jignesh Mevani a Dalit leader from Gujarat. In oratory Kanhaiya can defeat even Modi and with reality and sensibility. It is hoped that they will take the Congress to the left. Additionally the events of the last few days in Uttar Pradesh will further serve to change the Congress.

jamahir, I am very much opposed to judeo-communist ideology and I refuse to support Marxism. I don't believe that Communism is the answer.
