Yes, we are engaging him in talks and other activities, watching TV shows, grabbing food outside of his choice, etc., to keep his mind off as much as possible from his injuries. He was a very active football player in university, so adjusting to a slow-paced life is challenging. We brothers are taking turns to ensure one of us is always there.
He'll be alright physically but he'd need a lot of emotional support, I hope someone in your family is taking care of that too
Something similar happened in my extended family too, but he was mentally never the same again
