Thanks. I get out of this that if there is a specific context, vernacular script might be permitted; a translation would be seen well by the management, unless it is impossible (poetry would be difficult, for example).

Incidentally I've been getting lightning fast responses to reports and am hugely impressed. That is a huge incentive to stay off doing my own swatting of garden gnomes and leaving adjudication to the Moderators - as it always should have been!
