Interesting that the US MSM was interested in the media sphere of China in the early 1980s

I am almost 20 years older than you. Those memory are still vivid. They do interested in turning China to another India, or Russia post 1990s. Just try to convince Chinese, and find a Gorbachev.

Those Chinese propaganda was not well made in 20 years ago, not as fashionable as western one. I would say CCP is not good at propaganda industry, the west are master.

Now China propaganda is better managed, at least domestically.
That's why we can have internet fire wall, and still keep people happy.
It's hard to imagine other countries can keep their fire wall and stable government in the same time.
