3-day match against England: Pakistan squad to be announced tomorrow

KARACHI: The national squad for the first three-day practice match against the visiting England team will be announced on Tuesday (tomorrow). Wasim Bari, chairman of the selection committee, told Daily Times on Sunday. He said the selectors would announce the squad after seeing the performance of the players in the four-day match which commenced at National Stadium Karachi yesterday.
Under Michael Vaughan, the English cricket team is arriving for a eight-week tour of Pakistan on 26th of this month. They will begin their tour with a three-day match at Rawalpindi on October 31.
Bari said the Pakistan team for the first Test match would be announced on October 28 after consulting skipper Inzamamul Haq and coach Bob Woolmer. The first Test is starting at Multan on November 12.
