A small question: Russian tech

Its my personal observation and i might be wrong


but when i see russian tech....be it planes, missiles, nuclear reactors or any other machinery n all....they concentrate so much on capability....they dont really care about the size....they build it bigger and bigger

m generalising everything.....your views on this??

Various factors:

Its their culture - it means masculine to them. The Tsar cannon, Tsar Bomb, etc are also examples.

Communism stressed functionality over aesthetics.

Large nations have more room for larger products. North American cars were always larger than their European counterparts - due to less congestion.
