China deems "Super Garuda Shield" military exercise between US, Indonesia as threat in region

16,774 views Aug 12, 2022 The US has been participating in military drills on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The Super Garuda Shield joint exercises began in early August. Partner nations have included -- for the first time -- Australia, Japan and Singapore. More than 5,000 soldiers from 14 countries are participating -- the biggest joint force since these exercises were established in 2009. China regards the expanded drills as a threat, and has accused the US of forming an Indo-Pacific alliance similar to NATO.

This exercise will bring peace as it will try to preserve current status quo in SCS

China can do its own exercise in response to these exercise, but then again China has disputes with almost all its neighbors and it might have to keep having its own exercises around the year.

Any nation that think pushing US militarism on ASians in Asia is akin to keeping status quo needs to get a spanking .
It's always some lowly group of subjugated Asians pushing for western hegemony in asia over their petty ego and insecurities.

In the middle of this military exercise, CNN Indonesia had interview with China ambassador for Indonesia. Sorry it is in Mandarin and Indonesia only.
