Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan is at the top of the list with Rs 1,527,399 per month in terms of receiving salaries in Pakistan.

This revelation came during a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the parliament. Details of the salaries of the President, Prime Minister, and judges were presented in the meeting chaired by PAC Chairman Noor Alam Khan.

It was revealed that the Chief Justice's salary is more than that of the Prime Minister and federal ministers. PAC Chairman Mr Khan, while reading out the details, said that the President of the country receives a salary of Rs 896,550, the Prime Minister Rs 201,574, a Federal Minister Rs 338,125, a member of the National Assembly Rs 188,000, while the Chief Justice of Pakistan's Rs 1,527,399.

Mr Khan also said that a Supreme Court judge's salary is Rs 1,470,711, and a grade 22 federal officer's salary is Rs 591,475.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ChairmanLieutenant General (retd) Nazir Ahmad will receive a salaryequivalent to a Supreme Court judge, the federal government announced on Thursday. According to a notification issued by theMinistry of Law of Justice, the accountability watchdog’s chief rules and regulations for employment will be equivalent to that of a top court judge. The NAB chief will take a monthly salary of Rs1.7 million along with other perks and benefits with include: An official residence Two cars Free electricity up to 2,000 units 600 litres of petrol per month He will also be authorised to acquire two kanal plots in Islamabad. Earlier this month, the federal government appointed Lt Gen (retd) Ahmad as NAB chairman for a three-year term.
