Commentary: Palm oil for fighter jets? The illusion of defence in Malaysia

Lol.. are u sure? Malaysia has poor r/s with US. And this Mike yep is a US lapdog writing article for US. He knows nothing about Malaysia.

other than 18 Su-30s all malaysian aircraft and choppers are USA or West European
you can pretend anything u want

U.S is a increasingly unreliable weapons supplier

usa-malaysian ties have no hiccups

Sir Is usa working for sustainable environment.
That may or may not be true....the issue remains that palm oil is being sanctioned by the west as its growth is undermining the habitat for the orangutans. If Pakistan goes this way, it may invite sanctions on its preferential treatment. Since the Malaysian PM is an intellectual I am hoping he finds a way out of this instead of doubling down as he is doing. Anyways the article is not well written in the first place. Lets see what pans outs.

How about the 13 Mig-29s?

So around 60% of the Malaysian Air Force's combat fleet comprises of non-western aircraft. And that's counting the light attack Hawks they have.

Hawk 200s aren't light attack aircraft they are light multirole fighters. They can carry AIM-120 and have an older gen F-16 radar and can most likely compete with older gen and strike aircraft.

I stand corrected.
