Ex-LTTE team wins cricket game with Dullas-led team

A group of former LTTE members presently touring the south on a goodwill visit met a team led by minister Dullas Alahapperuma in a friendly cricket game at Sanath Jayasuriya Stadium in Matara yesterday (Sept. 10).

The visitors won the softball cricket game by nine wickets.

The team led by Mr. Alahapperuma had former cricketer and MP Sanath Jayasuriya and Prison Reforms Minister Chandrasiri as its members.

Jayasuriya got out for 15 runs off the bowling of Navaratnam Navadeepan.

The ex-LTTE members’ visit to the south has been organized under the ‘From the palmyrah grove to the coconut grove’ programme.
