What's new

General (R) Mirza Aslam Baig Former Chief of Army Staff in an Interview

This video is a very good contribution to understanding Pakistani military and civilian mindset.
-Looks like there is an agreement that a direct military coup is not possible anymore
-The Pakistan Senate elections which will give Zardari a chunk in the Senate is on everyone's mind
- Nawaz Sharif alone can decide if there are fresh elections now or later. But if he does bring down Zardari by mass-resignations then there is a fear that 'Establishment-Backed' Imran Khan will reap the benefits.
- Military cannot remove Zardari but is using the Memogate to topple him--and can be called by the Supreme Court to remove Zardari

In all, a dirty game being played by the Establishment! They cannot tolerate the PPP gaining a majority in the Senate in next few weeks and hence there is this rush to topple him. Why? Why can't the Establishment wait till Sept/October when they are likely new general elections? If PPP could live through the Musharraf (Establishment) Assemblies from 2002 till 2008 by being in Opposition then so should other parties tolerate another party (the PPP) majority in the Senate. Because, after all said and done, the current govt. was duly elected by the people of Pakistan and has the right to gain the majority in the Senate.

Enough of these damn games! Sky is not going to fall on our heads if PPP has some significant numbers in the Senate. I think even Imran Khan is willing to wait till later in the year to have the general elections and thus he, implicitly, is okay to live with the PPP majority in the Senate.

March to Bilawal House: Banking artery turns into tear gas corridor – The Express Tribune

Zardari has sold Pakistan and destroyed its industry and is further planning to enslave Pakistani nation to bhartis.

Not a single person in Pakistan is willing to defend him or vote him.

Every one knows how he got himself elected him self as PPP chairperson and President of Pakistan.

Pakistan need to hold elections under caretaker govt.
