Note: This list is being updated as more men and women are identified.

New Delhi: Two autorickshaw drivers, a Delhi police cop, a man who works with the Intelligence Bureau and an 85-year-old woman are among the people who have been killed in the violence in North East Delhi since Sunday.

On March 2, authorities maintained that the death toll remains at 42 even though four bodies were fished out of drains in northeast Delhi on Sunday. On Monday, Aftab, a man originally from Bijnor and believed to have been missing was identified as the 47th dead. The toll could, in fact, be higher.

From a list released by GTB Hospital, reports by credible sources and a list curated by The Polis Project, The Wire has attempted to list the names of those who have died in the violence. The list will be updated and amended as more information comes in.

Apart from those killed, over 200 have sustained serious injuries due to gunshots, sharp-edged weapons, stone-pelting and even falls sustained from buildings during the violence.

No private weapons---->mostly country made....If police had shot dead rioters from both sides the first day, this won't have happened...things would have simmered down with single digit casualty

You have to run from pillar to post to get a proper factory manufactured gun...My uncle got a rifle for his business protection....but most use copies of original made by local blacksmiths
