The Chinese news website “Shenhua” published a report on the violations of political and social rights in the United States of America. The report highlighted a change in the way by which the American police are treating their citizens. They are treating them cruelly using force. The report pointed out that the influential people are utilizing their positions for personal interests and benefits. In fact, the American prisons are full of prisoners who are being subjected to sexual assaults under difficult circumstances.

On July 8, 2009, the “Chicago Defender” website reported, “Currently there are 315 police officers organizing the internal situations of the New York City. In 2007, they were only 210 officers. Yet, instead of performing their job to maintain order and public security, they are increasingly treating the people cruelly. The amount of complaints against the New York police was twice the amount of the past two years.

One of the police stations in New York published a report on the news website “Gothamist” on November 17, 2009, stating that, according to New York police, the police have used their weapons in 2007 and 2008, respectively 588 times and 354 times. Thus, this led to the deaths of 23 people.

Whereas, the “Mercury News” website mentioned on October10, 2009 that four police officers in “San Jose” assaulted a university student, beat him with batons and rifle butts, and insulted him.

Moreover, On October 23, 2009 the “Black Orkan” website mentioned that one of the local police officers - without any good reason - attacked a Chinese university student, beat and insulted him.

According to reports of the Amnesty International (AI), the weapons used by the American police have killed 45 people in the first ten months of the year 2009, including a fifteen years old boy. The total number of victims between the years 2001 and 2009 reached about 400 people.

Utilizing power by influential people and legitimate ranks

” The “Washington Post” website reported, on 11 September 2009, that the prisoners in the United States do not enjoy the minimum level of their basic and humanitarian rights. According to the American Department of Justice, sexual abuses committed against the prisoners by the staff and guards in 93 federal prisons were detected. This percentage is twice the percentage of the past eight years. “
The “Washington Post” newspaper published an article on a website on July 19, 2009, stating that the Federal
Bureau of Investigation “FBI” caught four police officers were, since two years, being paid an amount of money by top drug dealers. Additionally, another report, published also on the same website, stated that a former police chief in one of the American cities of Georgia has been legally pursued because of selling a stolen gun to a citizen.

The “Chicago Breaking News” website published on September 2009 a report stating that one of the members of the Chicago Police – not working time - has beaten a bus driver because the driver closed the road in front of him during the traffic jamming.

The “Chicago Tribune” website also mentioned on September 19, that four former members of the police were accused of taking bribes worth 500 thousand dollars from one of the Spanish drug dealers, in return for relieving him from prosecution.
Furthermore, on October 8, 2009 the “Huffington Post” website stated that the checkpoints deployed in large American cities are annually conducting more than one million physical searching and inspecting operations. Thus, this is a significant remarkable number in comparison with the number of the past years.

The spread of sexual abuse against prisoners The American Department of Justice published, on January 18, 2010 on the website “Men’s news daily”, an article stating that the prisons in the United States of America are no longer having room for all the prisoners. Currently, there are about 2 million and 300 thousand prisoners in the American prisons, as well as seven million and 300 thousand arrested in the centers of refinement. The number of prisoners is five times more than the number of the prisoners of the previous years.

In other words, out of every 198 American citizens, there is one citizen in prison. The proportion of the increasing number of prisoners between the years 2000 and 2008 reaches 8/1 annually. Moreover, the governor of California called for deporting the illegal immigrants, who are in his state’s prisons, to Mexico in order to reduce the number of prisoners in that state.

Finally yet importantly, according to a report published in the “New York Times” newspaper on June 24, 2009, 4.5% out of 63 thousand federal prisons in the United States faced sexual assaults during the past 12 months. Based upon the investigations, 60 thousand prisoners have been subject to sexual abuses during one year only inside the prisons across the United States of America.
