Ahead of Diwali, the demand for Chinese lights has risen in Gorakhpur. On Diwali, people decorate their homes with lights, flowers and earthen lamps. But nowadays people prefer to use Chinese-made lights because they not only cost less but their electricity consumption is also less.

Looks like the Indian Media that constantly bash Chinese products have failed to win Indian hearts. LOL

Stupid thread! It's very difficult to maintain all those oil earthen lamps. People always choose comfort! What does that have to do with anything?

If some India company has produced and priced competitively it could have sold it's stuff.... Chinese products are cheaper and hence no one even thinks of producing them.

Gorakhpur is one of the least developed and poor town of India, how a small town prefer something because of its being CHEAP makes a thered over here at PDF.
