Jumping 8 points in Happiness Index, Pakistan becomes the happiest country in South Asia

World's happiest countries revealed - but where does the UK rank?

THE list of the world’s happiest countries has been revealed, with European nations dominating the top spots.

Switzerland, Sweden and Austria are the other European countries included in the top 10.

The UK ranked in 15th place, up four places from last year and one place ahead of Ireland, while the US came in at 19th.

The report ranked 156 countries on their level of happiness, taking into account factors such as life expectancy, social support and political corruption.

Meik Wiking, CEO of the Copenhagen-based Happiness Research Institute, said: “Briefly put, (Nordic countries) are good at converting wealth into well-being."

He added the Nordic countries "are doing something right in terms of creating good conditions for good lives".

At the other end of the happiness index was South Sudan in Africa.

The other bottom five nations were the Central African Republic, Afghanistan, Tanzania and Rwanda.
 
So India getting unhappier is indirectly proportional to Pakistan getting more happy and getting a better ranking in Happiness....says it all.

India cannot see a happier Pakistan...:-)
