Pakistan army practises shooting drone aircraft

Pakistani soldiers practised shooting at pilotless "drone" aircraft on Friday, the military said a day after the government lodged a protest with the U.S. ambassador over drone missile strikes in Pakistani territory.

Anti-aircraft guns and short-range surface-to-air missiles were used during the exercise conducted at a desert range near the city of Muzaffargarh in the central Pubjab province.

"The elements of Army Air Defence demonstrated their shooting skills by targeting the drones flying at different altitudes," the military said in a statement.

Air defence commander Lieutenant-General Ashraf Saleem praised the "precision and agility" of the gunners.

USA should not force Pakistan to take such harsh steps but they are pushing us to limits now. No one knows what lies next but we are well prepared.

Iwouldnt get too excited. This is all Noora Kushti for public consumption. When your whole country s indebted to the Americans for all the aid they throw your way and you gladly scoop it up, you some times hve to take abuse as well with it. If Pakistanis dont like it, they should first try and stabiliz their country before they starew USA in the eyes. In any case there is definitecoordination beteen the 2 sides and the acccuracy of the bombing is testament to that.
