Pakistan is sending a team to Iran tomorrow as it seeks to increase electricity imports from its western neighbor, Press TV reported, citing Naveed Qamar, Pakistani minister for water and power.
The country wants to buy an additional 1,100 megawatts of power from Iran, Pakistans Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani, said April 1, according to the state-run news channel.
In February, Iran doubled its power supply to the Makran region of Pakistan to 70 megawatts following the enhancement of transmission lines, according to Press TV.
