In the last Mission Impossible, Dead Reckoning movie, it's shown the idea.

In the movie, they intercept and modify real time the CCTV signal of a airport cameras to change the face of two persons.

It's a fiction movie, but it's a old civilian technology the deep fake face replace, so what's not possible to military of some states since years ago?

(7 years ago video)

In the case of big crimes, like terrorist acts, CCTV should not be taken as 100% reliable, because it could be real time modified by some foreign state agencies to deceive police officers.

These days with technology the possibilities have no limits....

The reading of all this is: In big crimes like terrorism, you should rely only in your eyes and your ears and it's not always . Videos, audio, voice, calls can be all fake, even in real time.

e.g: Deep fake voice is also a current technology, so wiretapped calls can't also be 100% reliable.
A modified hacked smartphone can make fake phone calls with deep fake voice.

In this terrorist attacks:

The terrorist who drive the van in the Ramblas escaped from city downtown, and he was miss 4 days.

How the hell was that possible in a modern big city downtown plenty of CCTV?

Well, with a state agency collaboration, the escape real path could be differen than the police officers believed, and the CCTV signal faked to hide the terrorist from real escape path, and make him appear in a fake virtual escape path.

e.g: He could hide quietly in a boat in the port, as the CCTV signals shown he went in the opposite direction.
